I'm hoping someone on here has sent figures off to AFA before, who could possibly help.

Looking at sending a ESB C3PO '82 Baggie to AFA, but need helps identifying what I want AFA to do ..... they arent THAT clear on the website.

1) For BAGGIES, do I want it graded as a SEALED figure or LOOSE?

2) Which TIER do I require? Is it what they call .... "ARCHIVAL - LOOSE 4" SCALE ACTION FIGURE"?

Cheers for any help, as a first timer to AFA their website is a tad full-on :?

My god, DO NOT let your mouse go anywere near the loose figure option  Those criminals will gladly tear open that baggie and give your 3PO a big fat darkside U grade. I doubt you need Archival either mate, that's just gonna add to the cost and to be honest I don't think you need any UV protection for your baggie.

I'm sure an AFA veteran will chime in with some more details though buddy, good luck.

cheers chaz

I'm already pessimistic about sending it in the first place :!:

Is it tape sealed or heat sealed? If it's tape they wont grade it as sealed anyway.

Most C3PO gaggies are the removable limbs with the green writing on the tape sealed bag - if it's that your better off keeping it as it is

yeh it's just the tape.

I'll see how much it will be.

I've just got one for a tenner so thought it may be worthwhile seeing as tho I'm starting to get the loose.

Have to agree with Spoons, saber - its really not worth it.

It is THE number one most common bagged figure and its cheap as chips, on top of that AFA will NOT grade it sealed. They only grade heat sealed baggies or take them out for loose grading.

You don't need AFA to enjoy Star Wars :) trust me :)

Would be cheaper to UKG him mate if you want him cased as a baggie.
Its not worth the dollar sending the c3po to AFA.
To be honest even UKG'ing him isn't going to increase his value by much, but it will make him display nicer.

I think AFA now grade taped baggies, but i think its only on high end baggies like Dt luke which have to be seen by Tom D to check the tape seals legit.

If that's the case (excuse the pun) then I'd say buy some loose cases off Oscar:

Nice guy ... if you can get hold of him!
