I've just been looking at said AFA 75 Boba in the auction and to be fair to the seller you can clearly see the missing chest paint in the photo.

I would have to agree though, that's a C-7 at best in my book. No way is that a 75.

it says ex+ nm not just 75 lol which is the high end of 75 boardering on 80 which clearly it isnt lol.Anyhow ive got no problem with the seller as he didnt grade the figures lol.

personally ive never liked AFA graded stuff. It just pushes alot of stuff out of my price range. You can put two MOC next to each other, they look the same yet one is say £50 and the other is £300 just because it is AFA graded. I think some sellers use the AFA tag just to bump the price up.

AFA stuff is plummeting in value for that very reason. People are just wising up to the fact that it's the same thing in a plastic case.

all it boils down to is a mans/womans opinion on it, the only thing that gives it a strong selling point for buyers is that an "expert" has authenticated it, so if you are not up on star wars its a gurantee (almost) thats its legit, not repro or reseal which is a massive flaw with ebay and the amount of scammers.

So some buyers are willing to pay the premium that they are actually getting a genuine item, with no hidden or undecribed flaws ect.

i have to be honest here but i wouldn't touch AFA with yours, a waste of time if you ask me. if i can't tell the difference between whats good and bad in my collecting then i have issue's. you can make your own cases if you wanted to.
