AFA graded valuation??

In answer to your question - have you checked eBay completed listings as that is a good pricing source

In addition, the general consensus (from Ugraders themselves) is that there is much less demand for that little U in front of the grade - so I would say that if you have a look at completed listing
for non- U-graded figures then that should give you an idea

As I stated in my original post, the only stuff ive ever had Ugraded has come from either cut, or badly damaged card.
The figures I originally posted about arent even mine, I asked for opinions of what they are worth.Ive re checked my post just to be sure I didnt imply they are mine, or for sale, and I didnt, so the hate mob jumped in far too quickly!
Im not looking for anyones love, or hatred, just the opinions of some'experts'. I read all the time that AFA are the bad guys, but when all the 'good' guys do is shoot first, then who exactly could I ask for some advice?

Sorry mate but u also 'didn't imply' they were not yours either :!: I didn't actually say they were yours, just asked if u had sent them off to AFA yourself.
Anyway it matters not. They sound like superb condition examples 8) As said defo check eBay listings/completed listings. Am sure u will find some amazing prices esp for U95 grades

Just rem one more U grade means 1 less piece of original vintage SW history :?

Regards.

Have to agree, U Grading is so damaging to the Hobby.

Guys like myself who collect on a meagre budget, will happily own degraded and damaged mocs, as they are still mocs and all the history they have.

If a figure is in a slightly damaged MOC, it stands to reason it is uncirculated doesn't it? So why destroy it by AFA U grading it, surely the fact that
They rip it open and handle it negates the U bollocks...I just don't get it?

As for those that will rip open a rarer MOC to turn a U grade profit, then shame on them.

I personally don't think it's a defence to say you own it, you can do what you want with it, you have to think and consider the effect that U grading has on the hobby.

I have a dog, does that mean I can kick it, just because I own it...No it doesn't!

Congratulations, you're part of the problem.

It's irrelevant whether you mentioned it in the first or fifth post - the guys who tolerantly responded to your first post were proven right anyway.

Welcome to the forum niem numpty, talk about daggers and new members.

Don't worry I've got loads of 'U' rated figures. Don't let them get to you. :D

   Oh sorry I forgot to mention all my 'U' rated figures are still MOC.

Dont know you numpty me old mate and you are prob a nice guy...but at least do a little research into the forum you are a member of. Its plainly obvious that we are dead against u grades and what they
Stand for. They are a massive damage to the hobby, like repro weapons and accessories .

The response is justified mate...its not a personal attack on you just on the idiots who support u grades.

Sense of humor eh. Risky thing to joke about but I think I like the cut of your jib. Plus grant nearly exploded when he read your first post. ;)

Glad I made someone laugh  :D Good job I posted again before going to bed :p Yeah I don't see the appeal in 'U' grades especially when you get them included with a MOC! Plus the sacrilege of destroying MOC's. But this poor chap Nien Numpty has joined this forum and just got a load of abuse or what ever 'U' want to call it and he just want's some advice. I mean writing stuff like 'die ugrader' is nasty. Some tightly coiled collectors on here. :?

I think the best way to think about 'U' grades is just think about the fact that there are VC Jawas with a 'U' grade, I mean what is that all about

Well, some of the more pleasant responses I have recieved have really made me consider whether I should take my collection in a new direction, and turn my back on the u grade stuff completely!
Although, those of you who feel it necessary to mock and insult risk sending people the other way, as when I came back to read the replies to my original post and saw the hatred, the 1st thing I thought was im going to u grade even more, just to annoy you even more.
All im saying is, the guys who have treated me with a bit of respect have achieved what they wanted, and got me questioning whether or not to end my u grade focus. Surely thats good for the hobby in general, keep up the good work!
Those of you with nothing but insults and hatred, I wonder how many people havefelt like I did, and thought f*ck you, and continued u grading as a result? Something to think about no??

You have a point - but at the same time you have to understand that this is one of the most disturbing elements of this hobbies (along with reproduction) and it is a sore point for a lot of people

Hopefully you got the chance to read the link I posted - this was created to explain how the majority of us feel about Ugrading and the damage that it does to the hobby

I certainly did read your article, and yes, seeing the pictures of the destroyed cards made me feel sick.
I just worry that all the good work towards preventing this most of you guys are doing, could be being undone by the few dicks who have to run there mouths off.If you all tried to educate instead of insult, im sure more of us 'bear poachers' would actually take time, like I have, to consider their future actions.

On the flip side mate- everyone who collects and supports the hobby, I will bend over backwards- even to extremes in some cases to help.

Who have to understand that we have our faces rubbed in bullshit of ugrading daily. A lot of the time by people who behave like tourists. They come in, do loads of damage to fulfil their egos or profits and then leave the hobby. Their justifications have all be heard and denounced a million times before.

It is unfortunate that it was your first post and it happened to be in the place that even though is not the design of the forum, it probably is the most hostile and vocal towards ugrading.

As for being polarising. I don't actually care as much. Theres a link in my signature that also Iain has posted that will be of great benefit. But asking for ugrading here to me is like a oil baron asking for a bulldozer at a save the rain forest convention. A lot of people on this forum feel the same, some don't.

If you are open to changing your mind- Wow- your in the few as the vast, vast, majority of the times people have been approached with a dove, they ****ing ugraded it.

I hope you re-address your outlook into collecting these things. And if so- champion that all day, any day. And what you have said has been taken on board.

Best Wishes-

Thanks for responding guys!
Whilst I completely agree with the fact that it is wrong, and damaging to the hobby to needlessly destroy a perfectly good carded figure for U grading, I dont have a problem with sending cut/badly damaged cards for a U grade.
I do think however that the people who are prepared to have MOC's ripped open are entitled to do so! After all, its their item, they own it, therefore they can do as they wish with it!
I love my vintage collection, I would never dream of telling someone what they like to collect is wrong, or right for that matter.
At the end of the day, these are little plastic figures, surely not important enough to warrant some of the insults and sometimes even threats that get handed out if someone thinks they have the right to dictate what you should or should not spend your hard earned money on?

This was your second post buddy. Nothing provocative in there is there?

What reaction did you expect, honestly.

Honestly? I expected some advice. That was my reason for posting.
If what I wrote provoked you, then I cant imagine what your like on a night out, with a few beers inside you.
