I want to complete my childhood loose collection and would like some advice about the best way of doing it please.
I ticked off all the original 79 figures as a kid, but had pretty much stopped collecting by the time the last 17/power of the force came out. Over the years i have lost quite a few weapons which i need to replace, but i have also acquired a few spare things and have been given a few of the last 17 by children of family friends who know i love star wars.
Ideally i would like to swap spares that i have for weapons and missing figures, but i know i will also have to pay hard cash for things. I will also post the list below in the swap shop & wanted threads
Sorry for so many questions, but all advice will be gratefully received.
Q1: Should i get Vintage or repo weapons?
I suppose i really want Vintage weapons and bits but i'm concerned about cost and making sure they are genuine. (I know my current stuff is spot on)
Q2: Where can i get genuine vintage stuff from, in particular weapons (or who is a trusted seller, or is there an event i should go to)?
Q3 How can sellers be sure they are selling genuine vintage weapons (I've read about float tests and stuff), but surely people can just say they are genuine & i won't know until after I have bought them?
Q4: Roughly how much will it cost me to replace this lot of weapons and bits?

Assume they are all in very played with condition, they have been in sealed bags for 10+ years in shoe boxes in the dark. Photos can be provided if you have something to swap that i need.
Death Squad Commander: Marks on helmet, with original weapon. GMFGI, 1977, Hong Kong
2 x Sand People: No capes or weapons, missing tusks and some paint. GMFGI, 1977, Hong Kong
Darth: No saber or cape. GMFGI, 1977, Hong Kong
Jawa: (I'll probably keep this one) No cape or gun, but markings match those of the vinyl caped variety.
Ben Kenobi: White hair, no cape, broken tip on blue saber. GMFGI, 1977, Hong Kong
4 x Stormtrooper. No guns. Very played with. GMFGI, 1977, Hong Kong
2 x Hoth stormtroopers. Guns but no skirts! 1980 LFL. Hong Kong: On 1 it is split across both legs, on the other its alll on one leg.
Boba Fett: Played with, loose legs, no weapon. CPG 1979. Hong Kong.
R2D2 With Scope. GMFG 1979. Hong Kong
2 x Rebel Soldier . No weapon, 1980 LFL, Hong Kong
C3PO. Paint peeled off? Looks rusty. lFL 1982

VW fans: I also have a 1776cc Air Cooled engine for a bettle or bus. Only 6k miles, new case, EMPI 044 heads. Im replacing with a 2007cc in my bus. Happy to sell it or swap it for SW stuff that i need.
