Hi
I'm new to the site but have been reading around here and other sites the last few weeks.
My parents are selling their house and I'm having to clear out all of my stuff, including all of my toys from when I was younger. I've got loads of Starwars figures from the original lines and unfortunately nowhere to keep them in my little flat in London, though I'd love to and so am looking to put them on ebay. They are all loose, some complete, some not and all have some ware of varying degrees. It was suggested to me to put the figures in batches of 5 or so. Though I love the figures I don't know the real value of them if there is any and despite going through ebay listings and through threads I can't value them all so I was going to put them up in batches as below without a reserve.
Before I posted them up I just wanted to see if any of you had any opinion on selling the figures in batches like this or if any of the figures are grouped in a way that may mean a buyer is having to buy a batch for one desirable figure. Would anyone recommend putting them up in one lot?
I've tried to batch them by film, scene or by some kind of logic to me. I've matched up weapons where I can by going through RS. Some figures are more complete than others, there are some photos I have put together of figures at the end which are very incomplete or broken or duplicates of other figures. The photos show what weapons and accesoies there are with figures. I also have a load of spare bits which there is a photo of. I need to check the electrics on all the vehicles, I bought the wrong size batteries to test them the other day.
Thumbnails below (I hope! not tried this before) At the bottom are a list of faults I know of with the figures.
Thanks
Imperial Transporter- box is very worn. One of the red buttons is broken, some stickers are missing and I don't believe the audio playback feature works anymore. Oh, and one of the clips holding a trooper place is broken. So only a couple of things!
Millenium Falcon, RotJ- Box is very worn. I have the original training ball but not the arm it is meant to be suspended from. The hinge clips for the gangway door are broken but it hold well in place when shut. The legs/suports for this door are also missing.
A-Wing- One of the larger guns is broken but hold pretty securely in place. The outer layer of the gun slides over the light tracks underneath.
Y-Wing- The booster rods are mosltly broken but caps still present. Both halves of drop missile present.
Yoda Swamp- Sponge swamp has rotted out. One of the sliding, moving figure platforms is broken.
At-At- Chin guns missing
Battle Damaged X-Wing- Left wing does not open. Cockpit cover missing.
Imperial Bikes- Undercarage gun missing on one bike
Jabba the Hut- Left arm broken at ball socket. Hold tight in place with tac. See photo.
Land Speeder- Gear lever snapped off and missing- hence undercarridge system does not work properly.
Hoth Luke- rifle snapped between nostle and body of gun, however rifles with other figurs complete. Can be swapped.
Snootles band- Flute missing, one of the microphones on the verge of snapping, however has hung on for years!
Darth Vader- cloak torn under arms
Farm boy Luke- Saber missing
C3PO removable limbs- v small tears under arms of Chewy carry pack
