Action Man training tower!

I was just doing a general action figure search on ebay between 1975 and 1990 and stumbled upon this. I'd like to buy it but it's just too big! I was well into Action Man as a kid and got one of these as a christmas/birthday present one year. I loved this toy, there was so much you could do with it. I had a few Action Man figures but I want to get my favourite one that I had back then. Been trying to work out which one it was, it was an eagle eyes with brown hair and blue underpants. It had green trousers, green jumper with elbow pads, a plastic black beret, black boots and some sort of belt I think? It was bought in the early 80's. If anyone knows the name of this Action Man release give us a shout, cheers. Brought back so many good memories seeing this.. I used to turn the whole garden into a battleground with tanks and **** all over the place

My brother and I had the training tower; second hand from what I remember. We used to set it up at the top of the stairs and send them down a really long rope slide.. great memories!

Had the tower as well- awesome toy! I remember some of the AM plastics being quite brittle and breaking very easily though. Loved them though! Also had Scorpion Tank, pursuit craft and motorbike/sidecar + 3 or 4 men.

Can't speak for Ann Summers but the training tower is very cool and about the cheapest AM set you can buy

The figure you had was the basic soldier - but I doubt he had elbow pads. This is the older non blue pant figure and I've got him a new rifle and strides since his pic

Nice one Spoons! That looks like the one. I'm sure I had a darker green jumper with what I remember as some sort of elbow or shoulder pads. Not sure? Was a long time ago. That's definitely the one though, same hat, rifle and everything, just have to find one now. Seen a couple of similar ones on ebay but most with blonde hair.

No problem Rob - the blue pant eagle eyes are pricey in good nick as they were he'd together with rubber and the heads fall off. The older ones can be had for £10-£20

There are loads of variations in jumpers and the one in the pic is at the lighter end. I shoul be able to get you a uniform so leave that with me - unless you are after mint then ebay would be best

Thanks so much for the info mate. I been thinking about this for a while, now I know which exact one it is I can try and get hold of one. To be honest as it's a one off buy I'm not too worried about the cost. I just want one complete and in good nick. If I see a good one without clothes I might just get it and get the uniform and accessories after. Yeah if you have any of them I might be interested
