Without me having to delve into the Action Force collectors forums can anyone tell me if there are AF repros out there? Ebay seems to be loaded with really cheap very good condition early AF MOC's. It surprises me that these aren't more collectible and more pricey. Some of the more common carded 1983 figures like Muton can be picked up for a tenner  Just wondering why. Are they too good to be true or is there no market for AF at the moment?

Would be a little surprised if anyone bothered to produce repro stuff. It's much more niche than SW, so there's not the demand. Mutons are quite cheap, but Red Shadows seem to be much more pricey. I'm tempted to get into this, but don't think I can afford both AF and SW! Still got all my old AF stuff. Probably around 10 figs and a boat. Used to love them!

Same here. Star Wars far outweighed AF but I had a few knocking about. My brother was quite into AF but he's a good few years younger and had the later figures. Remember him having a cool red speedboat thing. For some reason it seemed that older kids had AF. My cousin is four years older than me and he preferred AF to SW. Used to take the piss out of my figures because they weren't as bendy as his AF

It does look as though Action Force collecting is much more affordable than SW at the moment ...mostly anyway. Last night I watched an episode of Toy Hunter where he picked up a GI Joe aircraft carrier and sold it for about $6000  In fairness the thing was about six feet long! Never seen anything like it.

I had loads of AF as a child, often thought about collecting a few but scared the bug would drag me in and I wouldn't be able to stop.

I've seen AF moc With QC labels on them sell for less than £30 on eBay, it just goes to show there isn't the same demand.

Prices on the following site demonstrate how back to front AF/GI Joe collecting is. Newer stuff is worth a fortune and the original pieces are on for peanuts. Lucky for me then :)

Yes there are a few repro AF items out there (ATC Aerials and Battle Tank Machine Guns spring to mind. The GI Joe side of it has some repro stuff to, usually the hard to find items (Mauler Tow Rope for example). But because the market is that much smaller there just isn't the demand nor the incentive to do it.

The early AF stuff had plenty of overstock, so much so that figures like the Muton can be brought for less than the cost of a complete loose version.

I'd recommend the AF scene, it allows you to get away from the Star Wars madness and there is a growing community out there. Check out Blood for the Baron or come and see the convention in October as per my sig.

If your talking about the blue AF cards, i think your safe, they aren't really expansive aswell, but watch out, because ebay has loads of those Action Force MOC wich are recards (they look like the later GI JOe moc, but then with the AF logo. The description says it's a custom, but if your new to it, they might fool you, as those customs are really pricey for a custom moc.

On face value the market looks really interesting and affordable. Kind of ground to a halt with SW collecting, only picking up bits here and there. Just looking for something else so I can stop fishing around on eBay. It's either going to be AF or early 80s Matchbox cars

Don't think I'm at the level of attending dedicated AF shows. Besides, driving to farthest from and back was bad enough
