Abandoned Star Wars Film Set

Fascinating stuff... it must be akin to visiting an archaeological site, you couldn't get closer to the original film than that place. I'm amazed to see so much of it was left after 30-odd years, before it got restored. Definitely on my list of places to visit

I was lucky enough to get to travel to Tunisia back in 2004. I visited the Star Wars sets, uncle Owens home stead etc. It was part of a tour available at the time.

Yeah it was great alright....interesting to look around. There was no guide at the site if I remember correctly? You just walked around your self. There was a number of locals selling crafts in one of the huts/caves. Still have the piece the missus bought actually
