Thought I'd post this in a new topic but it's a follow up on the ebayer who refused to sell me a DVD I won.

My loose figures lot ended and I was surprised to see they went for £70 odd.

I was a little alarmed when I saw the "buyer" had 0 feedback - sure enough an email came through "can't afford it"

then a negative was left - seller doesn't respond!!

bit of a coincidence chaps ?? well I'm pissed off - dick

Is there anything that can be done?

Yes, you can report him to ebay and explain what has happened. You need to call them and speak to someone. They will remove the feedback and hopefully ban that account. They will be able to verify if the accounts are owned by the same person. People think they can't but they can. If you open 4 accounts all with different email addressees ebay still knows they all belong to the same person.
Also, i'd message him and let him know. Say nothing aggressive just inform him of what you are going to do mentioning what i've said above. Should **** him up a bit.
Let me know how you get on.

Thanks for the info Pete - top stuff as always mate

Contacted ebay this morning - they sorted it out very quickly

I gave a quick synopsis of events and a short time later told me they have removed the negative and will be contacting the seller of the DVD

Just wondering if they spotted a link between the two events. ???

CS Lewis got it spot on, as per the quote below.

So childishness is great.....nothing wrong with it :D

Carry On Posting ( that was just for you Andy  )

"Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."
