Hi michael, great collection you have

I love your millennium falcon box very much :D

Been a member since March this year and thought I'd update this thread to show the small progression made :?

I have recently been thrown off track and been buying some other collection gear MOTU etc as my son has veered me off trac, but coming back to vintage now, and carry on

So in march had a few loosies and began to listen look and learn on the forum
Have come into contact and made friends with some really solid guys, every last one really happy to help, advise and support on the journey

Fantastic guys on here and I'd like to thank you all again :D

So where I am now still a very long way to go but happy with where I am
Can't compete with the collections on here, but for me it's about getting those little pieces of history, holding on to them, cleaning squaring and buffing up to try and get them to their best for display

More loosies, weapons and MoCS are the way forward now, then hopefully start to display what I have properly in the next couple of months :D

The journey to date has been fantastic, and as I said you guys on here are awesome
Special mention to Chaz B, Jedi June,Jackabina, Mark Darth Stanley benny 100 Mumbo, Todd TFB the legend, Dublin Jeff ,Chiffy, jr Chubb, Lars ,Plaintman, tc14, Iain ...the list goes on Edd of course

Great guys , top advice, good fun great forum :D

Loosies need to carry on this long road and need to buy complete with future purchases as now have loads of weapons needs, some of my loosies have been "borrowed" by my son, and need to return for display
One thing I have learned, is buy complete loosies with original weapons.
Long way to go ..hey but that's half the fun

Great update, Mike- that's an awesome collection curated in such a short space of time... and looks like you've got more vintage goodness on the way (some choice items you're shipping across the Atlantic, Todd :D ).

I have to agree with you, pal... great forum, great guys- I've learnt so much about vintage Star Wars in the two months since I joined up. It's a great place to be 8)

Martin

Nice update of pictures from your collection michael, wow looking great.

Love that B-Wing POTF moc very much 8)

It's a great collection Mike 8) you've come a long way in such a short space of time :) plenty of items I'd like in my own collection :D

And there is nowhere better than swfuk :D

Wow mike that's a great collection you have so far bro. I still have yet to get Jabba & any vehicles lol. I love the madine & squid Moc :D The millennium Falcon box is ace man.

I always try and buy figs complete with Accessories because I think you land up spending more money if you don't. I guess it depends on the figure if its a Ledy or glasslite it's really hard to find complete sometimes.

Anyways I can't wait to see you collection get bigger :D

Thanks for the Shoutout bro 8)

Peace,
June

Martin...cheers, I agree, you learn so much and all the guys are great with us noobs.

June...cheers bud, I love the falcon as well, got from mark on here my earliest forum deal, and he threw this in  , top man darth stanley :D

Have to find some parts yet though

Cheers guys

Collection is coming along nicely Michael, I'd definitely agree its worth picking up loosies with their weapons, hard work sometimes finding genuine accessories

And let's keep it that way, wouldn't want you to look inside

TFB ...thanks for the kind words bud, love the falcon 8)
It's a bit weird am I alone on this but being a noob, I've now found that I've always loved the vehicles, especially the falcon that's my favourite of all, but the boxes become just as important.
I always thought that was just an intrinsic value thing, until I got a boxed item, then the bug hit me :!:

Having said that the falcon itself is an iconic piece, and if I could only have 1 SW piece, it would be the falcon every day of the week :D 8)

This piece of footage is nothing new, but I never tire of watching it... to think that our Millennium Falcons began life on this production line in Leicestershire... it's something to marvel at :D Also, it's great to see the bubbles being sealed to the cardbacks, two at a time. I've just read that there was a Palitoy Staff Shop at their Baker Street site... what a place that must have been

Apologies for hijacking your thread, Mike- but I just thought you might want to re-visit the birth of your favourite vehicle

8) no apologies buddy, that's awesome, love the manhandling Of the ATAT s legs

The shop scene, that's a dream scene 8)

Fantastic stuff Martin loved it :D

Hey Mikey throw your hands in the air like you just don't care!
Loving the collection, very nice.
I know it's not complete but your falcon looks very clean, I see what you mean about sprucing them up for display, very nice.
Looking at your loose collection reminds me of sourcing all of mine; probably the best most enjoyable and exciting part of collecting.
I'm liking the R2 MIC as well.
Nice one, thanks for sharing

Cheers Grinchy...have some more boxed stuff now, need to get the pics of it all together

Cheers Jez :D

Your a poet :D

It got to the point where my son and I decided we needed to join forces, simply due to space
So loads of stuff is at my lads, we are going to bring all the SW vintage together in the next couple of months, and ill put some pics up of where we are.

Need to focus for myself now, as my lad is collecting with me, the figures etc of his childhood Motu turtles THUNDERCATS etc as well as SW, whereas for me it's just SW. Have some cool stuff and need to get some pics up.

Cheers for the kind words, love picking up new loosies still, my next venture is POTF last 17 loose with coins for display

Never tire of SW though...amazing stuff...so glad I found my way onto this forum...love it .....top notch guys on here :D

You've got some great stuff Michael! Never put yourself down about your collection, it's awesome!

Cheers Joe

A lot of stuff on the joint collecting has been stored and will see the light of day when my lad moves to his new house end of jan, so we are over Christmas getting together the stuff we have so far and I'm going to take some pics so update this thread, very long overdue

Thanks for all the comments guys :D

Great collection Mike! Really nice mixture of stuff, a pleasure to view and hear your thoughts on it. I'm mostly into SW too but I'm definitely interested in other vintage toys and collectibles and I think I'll prob pick up some select bits from other lines in the future. Still got a way to go with the SW though.. it's never-ending, but all good fun :)

Agreed mate, you get waylaid with the collecting, and have to have a strong resolve.

I've promised myself that from Jan on I will concentrate on loose first 12 for display . that was the plan all along initially for me and months later I'm no further with it! I have chewie, Luke FB and a couple of others, but am now going to re concentrate on getting just first 12 loose from Jan on as and when funds are available, get Crimbo out of the way first!

When my lad starts showing me MOTU and THUNDERCATS and Turtles and. .....and ...and...you get the drift

So from Jan on first 12 only :D ..that's my New Years resolution
