What £7000 for a figure which on other cardbacks is worth £30 bucks,,,, the sense of worth and rarity is warped when it comes to logos and cardbacks???? even kenner, palitoy,lili-ledy etc, would have thought nothing of the percieved variation/combinations they were creating.
Fair enough if there only was one figure made or the paint or sculpt is different but an extre £6970 for 2 extra logos, hmmmmmmmm come on thats a little funky?? :?
Does anyone else find it a stretch to ever considering paying that much for a variation.
The best one is the Stickered AT-AT (which i think will become my sub focus) it is a normal At-At in an ESB box,,, and the vehicle inside is no different,,,,and the box,,,,, but its got a sticker on it!!!!!!! come on .
Ok maybe a few extra quid, but surely it doesnt increase it value massively?
Who do we create this extra value for??? ourselves, the collectors???
Or for Joe Public? who, once they buy one thing from us on peebay become collectors like us?? or possibly are we pumping up percieved value or rarity of something thats slightly different to increase the value of our collections value?? i.e. "our investment" :|
I know very few think of our collection as this ,,, but as i am just starting out in this, i find that actual rare things - one of a kind, hard to find in good cond things aside - rarity and variations are skewed and stretched a bit with logo, bubble, number cardback combos?
which drives up the price,, for,,, us??
 phew rant over,,
