Wow - now that could have been a very interesting box - love the low estimate as well - bet they wish they'd taken a better picture now

Aha! This is the magical 90+ figure collection that I got asked to evaluate a week or so back, odd thing was after getting back to the "owner" (someone called Karen no less..) I got completely ignored lol

Liam then contacted me asking if I could value the same figures so we twigged it was the same person shopping them around and now here they are for sale with the worst picture ever on some online auction site? lol!

Weird to say the least but yes there were some nice figures in that box!

I saw these too. Thought the estimated price was a little on the low side.
I got some pictures from the seller of all the cards and there was quite a few nice ones. Even if they went for 3.5k it's still roughly £35 per moc, so fair play to whoever won them. There was 5 or 6 in there that I really wanted.

Wish I had a spare 3k!

Even if people don't know exactly what they've got. Why don't they do a little research and sell things individually? It even sounds like they tried to get valuations! :?

Just seen the final realised price  + vat and commison etc more that £35 a fig.

Yeah very weird that Joe :? It could be the seller a potential buyer looking for a valuation :?

Cool lot non the less tho 8)

Hi there.
I have just found my Husbands old star wars toys in the loft and was wondering if you could give me an idea of value as a lot or seperately. Sepertely would be preferrred if possible. I am not loking to sell them yet. I see what looks like a few "Trilogo figures in the lot. Any help would be Great!

No idea if "Karen" was really the owner/seller or not..strange.

Hi Joe,

Did the seller give you a list of the MOCs included? If so, any chance of seeing it?

Cheers,
Christian

Lists are far too boring, how about pictures?

Trilogo Tie Fighter and 2 Trilogo Leia catch my eye - reckon £35 per figure is a good deal - wish I'd have see that one

I suppose it's a good deal if you have a spare £3.5K to bung up front yeah   *Don't forget the fees as well!

There were a couple of nice figures in there but nothing mega rare or that won't come around on its own in the future (at a more manageable price!)

I think the nicest thing is seeing another big carded discovery in 2012, we just had Andy discover almost 100 figures and now this lot has turned up, I think after the U madness we were due a few big finds to re-populate!

I am sure there will be more in the future too.

I believe the auction finished at £3,600 plus 20% commission (if paying via credit card) That's a total of £4320. Nearly £44 a figure average when half are Kenners. I think that is way overpriced don't you think. :?

Thanks for the pictures Joe.

I have to agree with Andy given the quantity of low grade bog standard MOCs I reckon someone has paid top dollar for that collection. I would not be surprised to see in a couple of months another dreaded batch of 'U' graded loose hitting the market :(

Must be the only way to turn a profit on this lot given that some collectors will pay hundreds for U90 even for the most humdrum of figures. Live and let live I say but try not to **** up our hobby!

Cheers,
Christian

Having seen these sat on sale for a while now, I am not sure that there is as much love for the U-Grades as there was.

Looking through these pictures, I can see about £4500-£5000 worth of cards there so there is a small profit to be had - otherwise it is a pretty decent start up collection
