Well here is another little jem from the stateside that has surfaced.
am guessing this was from Jim Stevenson as he had three shopstock deathstars
one was traded for some 12" dolls and the other two went to english collectors.

Lovely item, not so lovely price tag.

I like the way at the end of the description he states this item is not suitable for children under 3. Damn it and I was just about to buy my 3yr old a $9000 toy too!

You would think that in trying to sell a $9000 item you might proof read the advert

"I would grade this pox very hight."

Hello guy's i do agree with you that the guy is being a little optimistic here with the starting bid
he is obviously testing the water
but you are forgetting that there are only 3-5 examples of unused PALITOY deathstar playsets known at this time.
Thus making these very rare when compared to all the usuall kenner range...

A few years back a sealed canadian Palitoy death star with the stormtroopers hit $10000

PALITOY unused shopstock toys are scarce :!:

Yes mr Palitoy i agree , if this was sealed then it would be the most talked about Palitoy piece in history.
but as a fellow Palitoy man yourself you must appreciate what this is  .

I don't think so. Sealed ones exist. Something that would be the most talked about piece in Palitoy history is something that still hasn't been proven or seen, e.g. the VC jawa.

You mean a Canadian Kenner special example AFA graded and it hit $15000!!

Shure the vc jawa would be amazing only there is major doubt about its authenticity i have heard,

the beauty of palitoy is that you just do not know what is out there.

The top dealers have never mentioned any example's of sealed PALITOY deathstar play sets i wonder why that is??

There is a lot of doubt over it existence, hence my comment about it being by far a greater piece of star wars history.

Too true. Though there's a lot out there that is not publically known!

The top dealers have never mentioned any example's of sealed PALITOY deathstar play sets i wonder why that is??

Because they've never seen one?

Jim Stevenson won't have sold them cheap, that's for sure :)
