8mm help

can anyone put a 8mm tape on to a dvd for me .when i split with ex i got no pics of kids only got the dvds she never relised what was on em .i still did copies even though she never gave any pics to me cause i,m a better person .but know i have the cam corder with the only film footage of me boy as a baby .and no she not getting a copy .prob is its stuck in the camera and i dont have power pack for it .it dont matter if you have to break the cam corder to get the tape out i just want it on dvd .
can anyone help

I may be able to help you with this, I'll find out tomorrow at work. What make is the camcorder as I may have a spare charger.

Did a test today on a tape and it worked fine. The only problem is I am not at work all of next week so if you don't mind waiting then I'd be able to do it from Nov 5th.

I have some Samsumg chargers but obviously I don't know if one will fit. It'd be cheaper for you to smash the camcorder open and send me the tape through the post but obviously if you want to use the camcorder at some time I could try a charger and see?
