3D print repro weapons

Does anybody realise that this is where the T-shirt idea started? A thread very similar anyhow.

Many months ago a guy was trolling on here and in the true self policing style of SWFUK they got directed toward RS :wink: . Then someone commented along the lines of 'I love it when people come on here and take the piss, then everyone trashes them. It's like being in a gang' :lol: From then on the T-shirt idea progressed and the rest is history

...it's not a very interesting story :?

I have access to a 3D printer and unless the technology improve a hell of a lot it would be very obvious if it is repro.

Interesting discussion and I'm really surprised that it hasn't been discussed before.
Definitly I think there is no posibility to print your own weapons with the quality of real vintage weapons, but that wasn't my idea.
I just started recently to collect again Star Wars Action Figures and I was surprised that there are Repro weapons and I wondered if these are self-made by 3D printers or not.
In my case I don't wan't to spend a lot of money on weapons because I'm sure that my sun wants to play some day with some figures and I don't want him to play around with such expensive and small pieces liek the vintage weapons.
As I've seen that some people build their own Lego parts with 3D printers, I thought I would be great If you could reproduce vintage weapons for action figures.

You'll be ok then; vintage weapons don't cost a lot of money. Most a 2 or 3 quid. Reproduction weapons, however they're made, are just a way for people to cheat, defraud and deceive and make it harder and more confusing for new and older collectors to collect safely and with piece of mind.

One of our neighbours, he's a medical engineer of some kind, she's a vet...

He has a 3D scanner and printer for work, the wanted to scan their cats (both ginger, both three legged, both half a tail, wierd!!)

They won't sit still long enough, so she was talking about bringing some ketamine home to assist with that!!
