Hey great to see some pictures of this again! Like I said the other day this has to be one of the most comprehensive proof card runs out there for a major character! Calling some of those proofs "common proofs" doesn't do them justice considering their rarity :)

Hey Oli, thanks for the kind words. As you know the term common when talking about proof cards just means that type of Proof card has 2 square bottom corners and 2 round top corners and has a punch hole with a printed back. It doesn't mean the Proof is commonly found. I'm thinking that who ever came up with the term common type Proof did so because the majority of Proof cards that exist today are of the common style and not because they are common. To go a tad further if you consider some of the 12 back common style Proofs like R2 where roughly only 5 or 6 are known to exist. Sorry if I'm rambling, I just thought it might be worth mentioning incase anyone wondered. Thanks again people. G 8)

Lol absolutely mate. It's the style and not rarity that the term refers to. I just thought it was worth clarifying just in case anyone misinterpreted the phrase :) And I suspect some of the "common proofs" in this run exist in even fewer numbers than most other "common proofs". I think it's a very undeserving term to use. Makes them sound like card backs. I had to chuckle the other day when someone congratulated Tim Eckholdt on his nice card back collection :)

I recall Tracey mentioning a while ago that the "common proofs" with the thinner stock, 2 square corners and alt punch came from the US whereas the "sample card" production like proofs came from the Asia factories which I guess explains why they are made of thicker production like card stock and unpunched and these were produced in lot smaller quantities and sent back to the US as samples. Hope I got that right :)

Jesu H Grant, that run is out of this world buddy, truly spectacular

Hey Frank, thanks for the kind words Fella, appreciate it a lot. Would love to see an updated pic of some of your collection as it's been a while.

Oli dude, that's really interesting stuff with regards to the different types of proofs etc from over seas etc. Makes sense now that you've said it. Nothing better than than learning new stuff. 8)

I think I'd be happy just to own a card back version of this run! This little lot is mind blowing. 8)

Don't know anything about pre-production stuff. Only learned about it from this forum when I got back into collecting MOC.

But this looks bloody awesome all the same. Especially the items that are a total 1 off. That's a bloody great feeling.

Thanks guys appreciate the kind words. I blame that Max Field guy for my addiction to this stuff lol. 8)
