Well...
You have to weigh up known rarity v popularity
If this one is fully sealed than technically it makes my one half as rare as it once was!
I paid £400 for mine back in 2008...this was long before the stupidly crazy Palitoy tax came into force. It was the only one I had seen up until today.
So we are definitely talking about a rare figure. At the same time it's not a widely sort after one. Debut is still where the emphasis is and so there are probably more people directly searching for a 12 back than this one.
But it's Palitoy, it's rare and there's a bit of extra hype at times over SW characters on ESB cards...which baffles me a bit as some of them are way more common than some of the ESB characters!!
I would be surprised if in an auction a mint one didn't get more than £1k. I think the rarity would be enough to draw out enough people that could start a bidding war. People also have the general assumption of Palitoy = £££ so might if interested bid high.
However the condition of this one I think greatly reduces the price. But with regards to the value, I can't really give an opinion that's any more certain or authoritative than anyone else's.
With all things in this vintage hobby...especially those for which there aren't many known sales (in this case, just the one) an item is only ever worth what someone is willing to pay.
