21 MOCS, some tri logo, some palitoy

Cheers Ian, we are more or less on same page.

Boys I'm having a few wines now so I'll reply to any pms tomorrow. There has been a lot of interest and I don't want to make a mistake with anything.

Iain

Pics of Luke as requested. Please bear in mind that pics taken with lights on in house, not natural so colours may seem stronger than they are.

Cheers Jason. Simon actually saw them in person before Xmas and they passed his examination.

I used your guide before I posted too so thanks for making such a helpful database.

Am trying to be as transparent as I can be with these sales so if anyone wants me to post more pics, I'm happy to do so tomorrow.

Thanks Ian. I'll get the price on him, Ben and Luke Jedi tomorrow.

Think that just leaves the beater 3po anyone?

Not sure how 'beaten' the Palitoy 3PO is, but I can tell you this, it is a bloody tough one to find.

I got upto about 25 Palitoy 41 bks at one point, never found this MOC.

Very scarce....

Hi,

Just looked back and I bought a Palitoy resealed 41 back C3PO for £150 last year from I think Lee Bullock?

Only sealed one I have seen is with Mr Smith's collection. So think this is quite a tough one to find.

Front and back if that helps anyone.

Sorry boys, didn't realise that if I delete in photo bucket it deletes on here.

Luke FB pics

3po is pretty hard to find. Shame it's in poor shape or it would be worth quite a lot.

Yeah 3po would be valuable and then some if he was mint.

Does any one know what a mint one would go for? Any help appreciated. Cheers

No more sales tonight. All Pms replied to and photos sent. Will do the same tomorrow.

Cheers

Mark

It's been suggested that c3po is worth £200.

does anyone have any thoughts on this? Please put in this thread if you do.

Not sure on value but I should be able to take it for my 3po run when you come up with Value.

Gary Smith please comment now buddy ;)

Not sure if £200 with the condition it's in or not. A fully sealed mint one would be over £1k I believe.
But this one is pretty beat up.

Would be interested to know Gary's thoughts.

Cheers

Well...

You have to weigh up known rarity v popularity

If this one is fully sealed than technically it makes my one half as rare as it once was!

I paid £400 for mine back in 2008...this was long before the stupidly crazy Palitoy tax came into force. It was the only one I had seen up until today.

So we are definitely talking about a rare figure. At the same time it's not a widely sort after one. Debut is still where the emphasis is and so there are probably more people directly searching for a 12 back than this one.

But it's Palitoy, it's rare and there's a bit of extra hype at times over SW characters on ESB cards...which baffles me a bit as some of them are way more common than some of the ESB characters!!

I would be surprised if in an auction a mint one didn't get more than £1k. I think the rarity would be enough to draw out enough people that could start a bidding war. People also have the general assumption of Palitoy = £££ so might if interested bid high.

However the condition of this one I think greatly reduces the price. But with regards to the value, I can't really give an opinion that's any more certain or authoritative than anyone else's.

With all things in this vintage hobby...especially those for which there aren't many known sales (in this case, just the one) an item is only ever worth what someone is willing to pay.

The card and bubble are trashed so for me £200 is a good price, even taking in to account the rarity. We're probably only a shipping box away from it becoming common place again

Thanks boys. I'll put him on at £200.

There is a queue for him so I'll be offering him to people at £200 in order I was pm'd. It'll be after 19:00 as I don't have my notes with me. Cheers

That's good of you mate giving the first people who pm'd you a good chance.

Tbh It's prob the last thing I should buy considering I'll be about £500 or so on a new Pram this Sat for our baby boy in July.

I just hope he doesn't like teething on little shiney Gold plastic figures when he's older , Especially my prototype 3po's

Let me know what you end up doing with him or who gets it lol.

Cheers

Vince

He's gone Vinve I'm afraid. As with several of the figures I could have sold him several times.

Thanks for the interest and good luck with the baby. Surely he's gonna be called "Luke"?
