We are soon in 2017 and it could be cool to read what goals, dreams and hopes we all have in 2017 about vintage star wars. Maybe some of us can help each other with some of our goals

Write 10 collecting goals, hopes and dreams for 2017

My goals, hopes and dreams for 2017 is

1. To complete my uk marvel collection. I need Star Wars Weekly no. 14,19,63,141,143,144,145,147,148,149,152,153,154,155,156,157,159,
162,163,164,165,167,168,169,170,171 and ROTJ Weekly no. 110-146,148-155.

2. Vinyl Cape Jawa.

3. Kenner Death Star playset with box.

4. Sonic Controlled Landspeeder with box.

5. More moc, cardbacks and boxes with danish price stickers on them for my danish focus.

6. A POCH cardback.

7. A Toltoys cardback.

8. Barada with no coo 1984.

9. Backdrop for the Hero Set.

10. Radio Controlled R2D2 with box.

I've actually had a good long think about this and actually still want one thing from my complete disaster of a 2016 list.
This coming year I want to get a 12 back, any 12 back. This will be a budget purchase but you can get them for around (and under) £200 so that's goal number one.
Number two should be achievable as well - I intend to complete the first 12 loose figures, of which I need 10
Number three on my list is to add more KayBee stickered items to my collection
Number four would be to have fun, go to more shows, fairs, shops, meet ups, to stay focussed and complete the first 3.

Love to see everyone else's and whilst I don't want to wish the time away I can't wait to see how we have all done in 12 months time

I did OK last year as my main goal was to construct a new collecting room which I am now in and its starting to feel a very comfortable place to be
This coming year:

- Hero three pack; any condition or even a part complete example. Well it has Han in so I may as well dream...
- Yan Solo, meccano ROTJ MOC
- Clear down a the last few items that are duplicates to free up space and cash
- Boxed IG88 and Fett to complete the boxed 12" run
- To finish a couple of unfinished projects; Stormtrooper armour needs constructing and the Tie Pilot helmet needs painting. I have a commission paint job to do first though...

Not a huge target for me in 2017... just the following ;

A full run of cardbacks.. one of each character. This will complete my triple run.. loose, moc and cardback.

Any Stormtrooper cardback I don't yet own.. POTF, Top Toys for starters.

4LOM mailer - as this one is the most achievable of the ones I require.. Dengar would be good but costly.

Mine are almost unchanged from last year, as I achieved only one out of three!

1) Expand my COO variant thread with new figures and update old ones! I managed to achieve some solid updates 2016, and if I can achieve the same level of activity on it in 2017 I'll be very satisfied.

2) Try harder to complete a couple of 'work in progress' collection issues (figures I need that I haven't achieved for far too long), Namely PBP Dengar (Pink face); PBP Luke X-Wing (Pale face), PBP IG88 (scarred No CoO), and a couple of figure upgrades in PBP 4LOM & Rebel Soldier (Meccano/Trilogo)

3) Possibly meet up with some loose collectors at some point (in Newcastle?) and trade some things from the "treasure trove in the drawer" over a pint of Guiness or two

4) ****, Help lars find his bloody Barada :lol:

I currently have 10 items in the mail so for me 2016 will finish with a bang but for 2017 I would say these 3

Goal: Pick up at least 2 big bangers (foreign moc's) for my Teebo focus and finally finish the displays in my back room
Hopes: Get the last 2 complete Ewoks play sets I need, hopefully in Oz because of size ( Family Hut & Sit-N-Spin )
Dreams: That Iain will sell me that Trilogo Teebo miscard :lol:

I'd like to add another Meccano 20bk to my collection, complete my loose run (paploo, romba, blue snaggletooth and vinyl Jawa to go), and add to my Palitoy run - I've a few tough ones to go, so adding one or two of these would be great.

Keep going to shows, keep meeting up with friends and maybe make some new ones too.

Not ten individual items but my main focus areas for next year:

1) Pick up a Yak (probably) and Madine (unlikely) to finish my trilogo run
2) Finish my run of basic baggies, need about 30 more
3) Pick up a couple more nice MISB vehicles, especially keen on a Snowspeeder and B-Wing
4) Find some more obscure Star Wars/LucarArts games I don't already have
5) Continue to pick up 70b/70c trilogo MOCs when funds allow

This year , I have decided to down size some of my collection , so targets for 2017 ,

1. Going to Celebration in April
2. Would like to dig up my parents garden to find my Lando figure from 1981 !!!
3. Full run of beater loose figures
4. Maybe another 3 pack action set
5. More Palitoy 12 backs


That's about it .

1. I'm happy with my loose collection but would like to get a burgundy cape LL Bib Fortuna and dark brown Rebel Soldier if I can.
2. Add some more ships to the collection, maybe a few playsets as well.
3. I bought a large collection of carded POTF2 and Episode 1 figures recently so may start finishing off the run of those.
4. More Zuckuss.
5. Create some space to put all this!

4. To finally get a display area up and running ( now my daughter has flown the nest)
5. Continue to enjoy collecting with my son, enjoy the hobby for what it brings to me, continue to be a part of the best Forum there is, with the best comradery ever 8)

It does not need to be mint, but also not a beater. It does also not need to have a weapon. Price I was thinking about normal price + a little extra.

Haven't collected much this year due to ridiculous prices and being busy with other things. Have lost the mojo a bit. Would like to try and pick up a few things this year:

Loose last 17 figures (not likely due to prices), trilogo Boba Fett and a metallic 2-1B for my loose set.
Max Rebo band.
ROTJ Mocs.
MIB mini-rigs.
Paperwork,catalogues, oddball.
Cardbacks.

Would also like to diversify a bit and continue to pick up some other vintage toys and maybe some Star Wars lego. Also want to finish my Gaffi sticks and make some other prop replicas.

I need ERG, Paploo and Imperial Gunner for my Trilogo run (also need Boba and Madine but they might be a long way away)

For my Tsukuda run I need Luke Jedi, Darth, Biker Scout and Lando Skiff

For my Clipper run I still need plenty of them - love that little black sticker

Apart from that there is nothing I 'need' so just look to pick up a few bits an pieces when I can

5. Rotj sandpeople, hammerhead, rebel commander, fx7, lumat and paploo.

1. 12" loose collection. (need Leia comb, Obi-Wan Saber and Han Medal)
2. Orange and Green Topps cards full sets
3. The final 5 Sigma mugs I need
4. Diecast Tie Bomber

Then s many as the MOCS for under £50 that I can.

2. LL burgundy Bib.
3. Tris- TFP, Luke Endor, CCP, Boba, Jawa, Fett, the M. Happy with beaters / reseals for big 4.
4. Build on loose variant collection.
5. Build on 30 back palitoy cardback collection.
6. Beers / get to know any London / South based SW collectors that meet up.
7. Start to trade more. Have a Palitoy 20 back lxw and Lobot Palitoy 41 back to trade and potentially some ROTJ mocs.
