Yeah, i expect the Portuguese to get out of that group but they didn't look good today. German's, as usual, looked nifty.
I did enjoy watchin Ronaldo huff and generally get on like a spoilt brat when Portugal lost.

Very poor this from Brazil
Brazil look pretty average so far. And once you get passed Neymar and Oscar and i guess, Marcelo, they really don't have much quality in the side. And they don't seem to play with much flow either which is what you really need if you're going to get anywhere in a World Cup.
At the moment i wouldn't even put them above England in terms of performance in this tournament. I'd actually fancy us against them from what i've seen. They bought on Jo for christ sake!! Jo!?!! :lol:

I agree Pete. I am beginning to think Willian must have had a disagreement with Scolari or something?? Why wasnt he brought on earlier?!
I agree with you both, Brazil have really looked distinctly mediocre. Take away that ridiculous penalty and they'd be looking at 2 pts from two games. No way they'll win it playing like this. Any of the big (European) sides will have them.

If i could see quality past their best 2 players i'd say, don't worry about it, it's early doors, it will come together. But i really don't. I assumed they had loads of good players. :? I feel very foolish picking them as my tournament winners. They're not even in my top 6 that i've seen so far. And i've watched every single game so, as usual, i know what i'm talking about. :lol:

Got to agree with all of you today, Brazil have shown us little to be scarred of. Granted they would have won the match if the Mexican keeper wasn't on the ball but that still wouldn't have papered of the cracks...
The Europeans have impressed me more than the South Americans, especially considering where the tournament is being held. Anyone else feeling a European Winner on South American soil this time around?

I said ages ago that Germany would win and Italy would bore their way to the final. However, even Italy have played with a bit of flair this time. I can see a semi with 3 European teams and both finalists coming from Europe.
Goes to show that in the past when we've heard stuff like, "the heat and humidity is the reason for England being shite" is total bollocks. We've been shite in the past due to a mixture of things. Not saying it's easy to play in those conditions but you just adapt. Preparation is the key.

All the excuses for England being shite are a load of bollox, the reason is ability.
This time round we are not really that shite, just not on the same level as the real contenders.

Yet more pish refereeing, never a penalty. It's his trailing arm and he has his back turned. If you're gonna give that there will be penalties in every other game.
