2 Tone Chewbacca Variance ?

I got down my Collection of Vintage Star Wars figures and found this odd Chewy. The inside of his thigh has 1977 which was a little awkward for both of us since he had to remove his garter ammunition belt so I could read the date . So what's the deal with my chewbacca's arms and legs.

Hi Mate, I have only heard it is bad plastic that has changed the legs and arms color.

Hi Matt, its just plastic degradation mate, the plasticisers leaching in the plastic, so its not classed as a variation.
Your limbs have gone a light brown, many go an olive green, there are some people that still think the green limb chewie is a variant, but its not, after 30 odd years the plastics used can do some funny things, cheers
