Will be organizing the ground support for Jez round the 22 mile mark using finest cardboard rescued from the local bins. Would be nice to see a few Star Wars lads. It's traditionally a booze up and you get the bonus of getting to bait tired looking fun runners.

Let me know what kind of pace you're looking at after a training run or two and if you might need a guide/helper to run the marathon with.. I may be able to run along with you and both keep you company and if needed, be a second set of eyes. I think it will be much harder than expected in the helmet due to reduced vision and I wouldn't want you to come unstuck ion your quest...

Yeah i know all about lack of vision; just under 1000 hours logged on Night Vision Goggles so i'm aware how hard it'll be to see and avoid the neck breaking bottles etc strewn all over the floor. I'm considering removing the helmet at most water stops to keep my wits about me. The mobility will also be a massive problem with all sorts of gate issues. All in all, a bit of a challenge.
If Chris Mann is fit enough we are gonna look out for each other (exchange details of starting zone and pen). I am aware i'll be easier to spot than Chris. It would be great to have some running pals, but i am well aware that you are as fit as a butchers dog and will naturally need to run faster than me. I don't intend any sub 4 hrs this time, more like an leisurely 5.30-6 hrs

I've managed to figure out what needs to be padded out etc and since the run i've fiddled with my helmet, ooh er. It's not wobbling around anymore.

I'm working on that mate. I always run in ASICS Nimbus, they are Nimbus 17s. I could do with a new pair but i can't find any white ones. I'm sure i saw them in the states when i was on holiday but i can' find them in the UK.

Huge apologies for not being on anywhere near as much as i'd like to be. For those who know me well, you'll know that i've just entered my 19 month of working 60 hours a week straight (no over time, i do it for the Queen!).
Anyway, today was a big day. I decided to try to complete the RAF Multi Stage Fitness Test in my Stormtrooper costume. Loads of people struggle to pass this and end up in the ****. I had no idea how i'd get on but i bloody past it! Well chuffed. Cut my legs up a bit but it's all good prep. Breathing is harder but won't be a problem.
Any way here is the vid:
