Some other great toys of the era there as well, I remember having all those A-Team figures :D

Quality

I remember looking longingly through the Argos catalogue for my Xmas presents - never got what I wanted though !

Great photo, I can only dream about ealknig into Argos and buying 20 boxed X Wings :)
The Toys R Us catalogue was always my Xmas present of choice guide!

There's also a 1986 one on ther but no Star Wars at all.

None in this 1976 one either but loads of memories :D

Oh my god i have just had an Eighties flashback , remember the good old days of xmas toys wishlist

I always used to look at the showers in the old catalogues, if you looked hard enough you could make out the women in the shower through the frosted glass.

Lol Pig and I thought I was the only one !!

Ha ha - I bet every lad our age had a cheeky look at the lingerie section in the Kays catalogue -looking for a hairy bush or two

Look at the prices!

I actually think they're quite expensive! £20 was a lot of money back then, you could buy a house in the mid 80s for 5 grand! It's no surprise that modern new ships cost £50-£100.

I'd be interested to know if they are RRPs or offer prices too - seems odd that an X Wing is £8, but a Y Wing is £25!

4 figures for £3.99 though - bargain!! :) Would they have been MOCs or a box with 4 random figures?
