Hey guys just wondered what's the going rate for 12 backs with pops missing?

I picked up a chewie and Ben tonight but have been offered a minty vader with pop missing and a resealed Han, does anyone have an idea what these two are worth?

Thanks.

Hi tiny :p ( good to see you back again, again )

POP carefully peeled off vs cut all the way through makes a difference. Quality 12 back prices as you know have gone mental, budget ones have taken a similar price spike. I paid $250 for a neat POP removed C3PO recently which I thought was very fair ( really mint other than the POP) I'm assuming you're talking Kenner stuff. A 'good' reseal ( partial vs figure could have been removed makes a small difference IMO) but around the $100-$200. I think the prices for lower quality 'rarer' items are driven up by a larger buyers market that could normally never afford the high quality items.

Hi James,

Appreciate the advice, the pops on the vader and stormy have been cut right through, apart from that the cards, bubbles, figures are c9 lovely examples tbh.

The reseal I didn't have much of a look at as I've never liked them, however it would make a budget 12 bk form me, all I remember was the bubble had been stuck down at the top.

Thanks again mate.

Hey Scott,

I sold a resealed 12 back Han on Ebay about two years ago and it went for over $200, would probably go for more than that these days.

As James said price can also vary greatly depending on character.

Hello Ryan :)

Long time mate hope your well :) thanks for that tbh I'm kinda kicking myself as I had the vader in my hand and then noticed the Pop was missing so I lowered my offer so I could do some research to see if I was over paying or not, he seems a real nice guy and says he has some unopened Falcons, VC jawas etc... So I'm going back through to have a look and hopefully will bag the vader and Han, cause the standards of the cards and bubbles are great just s shame about the pops, the Ben I bought has the Pop replaced and looks great I paid £280 combined for chewie, Ben and 6 acrylic cases which I felt was a good price, anyway mate take care and speak soon,

Scott,

That was a great chewwie for the money ,I was going to buy it and then it disappeared ,too slow me !! A great buy you have .

Thanks mate, yeah the chewie is cool never thought I would own a 12bk, and I guess I got lucky,I've managed to do a deal on the other 3 and he's even on his way to drop them off which is a bonus :)

Regards,

Scott.

Nice one ,they looked great so you have done well, the bargains are defo drying up as the film draws closer  Jason

Hey Jason, to true, like I say I think it was more luck I noticed the guy was only a 30 minute drive from me so I made him a cash offer, in total managed to get the 5 12bks ( one reseal) and 9 acrylic cases for £600 quid and tbh even if I over paid they look great and I'm well chuffed :)

Regards,

Scott.

Hey Scott,

I'm well thanks mate great to see you back collecting again, that sounds like a fantastic deal bud. 12 backs evoke a buzz like no other vintage moc can in my opinion.

The acrylic cases are a bonus too, well done.

Hey Ryan,

I agree mate :p going to be a costly year for me now as I want the other 7 8) I have the full support of my wife this time she even said last night ' sorry I put you under pressure to sell them last time' which I was a bit taken back by :) I'm like a big kid at the moment I keep taking one out of the box and just looking at it, funny how some little plastic figures in a bubble make a 43 year old bloke feel
I remember the Pali chewie you had that was a beauty, do you still collect Ryan? Anyway mate off to Benidorm this morning on a stag do, will speak soon, take care mate.

Regards,

Scott.

Hey Bud,

Yeah I know what you mean mate, I started just wanting the first 12 and then ended up with the first 21. Only have the first 12 left now minus a Jawa which I hope to find again one day and my full set of loose figures which take pride of place in my office.

I haven't actively collected for a while now been working on other projects like this one http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=20153 which has kept me pretty busy. My wife never bugged me about collecting so it seems right that she get something back for all of her patience.

Hope to get back into it agin one day, I'm sure the bug will bite sometime but with prices the way the are I'll wait it out a while.

Great that your wife has come on board with your collecting too mate, makes life a little easier 8) .

Have fun at the stag night mate!

Cheers Ryan
