10 things i have learnt about collecting vintage star wars.

Its been a few months now and i am gathering up a few bits and the collection is growing thanks Gary and Mark.
Mostly ties and vehicles (accquisitions posts to follow)

But as i am still a newcomer and i am getting the hang of some of the finer points of this fine hobby/addiction, i am gonna share some of the things i have learnt, (in jest, those without a sense of humour look away ,,,, now)

You might be a collector if,,,,,,,
1. you use more abriviations that a U.S. marine corps drill sargent on speed.

2. you consider it to be less a hobby and more of an addiction, "start em on loose then when that wont do it for ye move on to the harder stuff like MOC and MISB. soon you will be snorting baggies".

3.For you "Focus" reads fetish , 271 luke farm boys on a shelf staring at you!!! All Mint.

4.you secretly buy some loose so they can play with them. Admit it.

5.Everytime someone says "modern" or " prequels" you have to spit and bless your self (insert religious equivilant here)

6. You stare in disbelief at your wife/partner/best friend when they dont understand the difference between a 77 and a 79b. After all those presentations on the difference.?

7. you always wanted to go to work dressed as darth vader flanked by two stormtroopers, and pyschokenetically chock your staff/boss.

8. you have said "punch it chewie" more than once while driving a vehicle.
Cue offended partner.

9. You have sold, swapped and bought so many items of SW online you swear you have bought your own stuff back more than once. "snaggy me old buddy how was the U.S.?"

10. You consider Star wars to be a form of interior decor and wish IKEA had a section dedicated to you. Gyurgenfoohed = starwars display cases.

I'm still at the 'loose' stage but will admit to the majority of those points.

Every new (old) ship I open has a quick test flight around the Imperial Airspace that is my living room ! Much to the dismay of my better half when I'm caught.

As for fetish, why oh why didnt they release Leia Slave Girl ??

And i am still at the loose stage too, everytime i see a moc i like, i hear a muffled scream from my wallet. :lol:

hey i have got better,,,first set up , zorlac scott stanton indy 169's, fuzzy snow frogs and generic 808 bearings. :lol:

when i have 20 bikers scouts with their speeders, then i may graduate .
