I always thought OBO meant 'or best offer', i.e. higher or lower.

I always thought OBO was used to suggest you were looking for a certain price but would entertain decent offers *below* that set price, I guess in all fairness it could mean higher or lower you are right Emiel so if that's what it can be viewed as, why bother setting a price lol!
