    Do you still collect?

Still collecting - no (way too expensive these days- only need a pop up R2 and Blue Snaggletooth so you can see why it would be too expensive going forward) and am I looking to sell - no as I know I'd regret it at a later date. I'm glad I've got what I've got as my kids will have something to...

    Last figure you remember buying/receiving

I think mine was a bunch of last 17 all together (I think only only pop-up R2 was missing) for about £15-20. I was actually looking through a box of normal vintage loose at a market stall and the owner said he had some more in a box at home that were his sons. I popped to his home (literally...

ACME Toy Superstore Visit - Florida

Last time we went there we popped into a Comic Book store similar to that you see on Big Bang Theory. Don't know if it's still on their but it was on the shopping complex along with Super Target just past The Mall at Millenia (opposite side of the road). Worth checking out if into busts and...

    Collection insurance

Have you got each item photographed as evidence just in case? If I had to do that I think I'd need to take a month of work to do it 🤦🏼‍♂️😂

    Collection insurance

Wondering what everyone does regarding insuring their collection/s. I have vintage Star Wars toys but also have Palisades Muppets and newer collections from Disney but put together their value is quite frightening. It's got me thinking about insurance - what would you list it as? (single items...

I feel dirty... I just bought some repro weapons

At that age he doesn't need to know the difference and you don't need the cost/stress of something that IS going to get lost. The beauty of it is that one day he'll be old enough to see the difference and know how important it is to get the correct accessories.....from there he might even want...

    Celebration Europe

I remember like it was yesterday wearing my gammo costume to the 1st London Celebration Europe........and that was 14 years ago 😮😮

Do you think we are currently in a bubble?

And some have unfortunately got to sell as they've possibly lost their job/income :( You only hope that someone selling high now (to pay the bills) can buy later when circumstances are better and the price is lower.

Do you think we are currently in a bubble?

There's also the ebay flippers who aren't interested in the item only its worth to someone else. My missus collected a monthly release of Mickey plush then a couple of years later a Minnie plush and its now a Stitch plush. The difference to collecting at the start of Mickey to the Stitch plush...

The item you've had the longest in your collection ?

I'm lucky to still have my original figures from when I was a kid so getting on for almost 40 years now  I'll always remember going up the escalator of my local Woolworths and when reaching the top seeing 'the wall' of figures - back then it felt like hundreds all mixed up on the arms...

    Celebration 2007

Loved that full size Jabba - got asked to stand in there behind the rope and meet a VIP. My mind was picturing Hamill, Baker, Davis etc but instead a young blind lad was led around the rope and I was asked if it would be okay for him to feel the mask & costume so that he could put an image to...

    Celebration 2007

I was there too - this is what I wore there (this pic was taken at the NEC as I can’t find one from CE)

    Kenner Action figure poster

I have this with my collection. Just doing some research and the poster itself isn’t vintage but obviously all of the toys on it are. Love the fact that it has variant figures (small/big head Solo, smiling Lando & VC Jawa) so you can see what you needed to compete your collection before the days...

    Factory produced reproductions.

Funnily enough I watched the video on YouTube only last night and wow his figures are so damned close to the originals it’s scary - only difference being his branding on the back of the leg. :o

How do you pronounce gamorrean guard?

I’ve always pronounced it the zammo way but think the American pronunciation (from watching ‘The Making of....’) is the Delorean way - either way he’s my fav character :)

    Figure variance

Got these guys in my collection and wondered why the different paint colour for what looks like the same coo. I’ve seen a difference in colour for a different make (Lily Ledy or POCH springs to mind) but why change the colour in the same factory?

    What is this figure?

Maybe someone has tried to make it look like a proto to sell (scam?) on eBay - what’s the difference in price of a normal one versus a genuine proto type? The difference in appearance will stand out a mile to a genuine collector but unfortunately there’s always someone that’ll get duped :( :(

    Loose collecting

Thanks all. I think the problem I have is I have more figures and vehicles than I do space and feel that what can’t make it on display is ‘a waste’ (ie - I don’t feel like I’m giving them the recognition that they deserve by keeping them boxed away if you see what I mean). I recently sold some...

    Loose collecting

Wondering what people’s level of ‘satisfaction’ is when collecting loose figures. I’ve got most of a loose run (except Blue Snaggletooth & Pop-up R2) but flip side is I have extras and variances in my collection. So: - are you happy to have just one of each, regardless of COO ....or.... - would...

    Hanson auctioneers
