Does anyone know anything about this Harbert VCJ?

I applaud your attitude. Being positive is great. Just to clarify, I hope you didn’t think I was mocking you, as that was not my intention. The Fabergé comparison was an attempt to convey just how unlikely it is to stumble across a genuine Harbert carded VCJ in stunning condition at a boot fair...

Does anyone know anything about this Harbert VCJ?

If it was an original, it would be worth many thousands of pounds (carded, of course. And literally nobody would recard a genuine loose VCJ on a crappy fake cardback). However, yours sadly is not an original. I’m not being funny, but even without seeing the photos the chances of finding an...

Does anyone know anything about this Harbert VCJ?

You’re welcome. Sadly, when it comes to VCJ‘s, fakes abound. The jawa figure will probably be real, but the cape and gun won’t be. Unless of course they’re simply transplanted from the modern retro collection onto a fake vintage cardback. How long have you had it?

Does anyone know anything about this Harbert VCJ?

Sorry if this disappoints you but that’s 100% fake. The punch is a euro punch which never came on the original cards. And that doesn’t even begin to touch on the hilarity of the so-called seal. I hope you didn’t pay a lot for it. Jeremy.

Toy of the week 2, Week 72, Weequay

Weequay. It may be a common figure, but it's a pretty decent sculpt and likeness of the character, IMHO. Here are my loose ones. From left to right: Smile II, L1c?, R2a? Figure, M2 Smile vibroaxe - Dark brown boots & chest, light brown hands, light blue arms, medium tan legs. Unitoy III...

    SWFUK is 20 years old!

Many happy returns to the best Star Wars forum on the web! Many thanks to Edd, Blackbeard and all the mods for their sterling efforts down the years. It really is appreciated, and I am both proud and pleased to be a member of this excellent group. 20 years is quite a milestone. I joined in...

    R2-D2 Sensorscope head swap?

If the COO’s are different, the chances are high that every other aspect of the figures will also be different from one another, including the heads, even if only very slightly. Also, the sensorscopes are likely to be different too. As for who will care, some collectors very much indeed...

Toy of the week 2, Week 71, Micro collection Hoth turret defence

Wow! What a pristine example! That is a beauty. As I have said in previous postings, sadly I don’t collect the micro collection and never have, but I wish I did! I think the packaging is fantastic and it displays so well. It’s sufficiently similar to, and yet also sufficiently different from...

    Help identify variant blaster

Hi Cal, TIG is good, but Variant Villain is better. VV's figure and weapon classification system is much more comprehensive and useful than TIG's, so I would always recommend using their naming conventions for identification purposes. Definitely check out both websites, but when in doubt (and...

Kenner Tauntaun with Palitoy sticker on it

The Palitoy solid belly Tauntaun with stickered logo and printed logo are known variants. As Frunkstar says, the stickered version was almost certainly caused by stock shortages of the printed logo version when Palitoy wanted to get them onto the toy shelves quickly for all us former...
