    Andor 2

Absolutely stunning ending to an outstanding series. Brilliant story telling with emotional stakes that really draw you in. Andor has raised the bar so high, it'll be hard to go back to the usual DisneySW/Filoni slop. Not going to lie, that ending brought a tear to my eye (especially when John...

Kathleen Kennedy stepping down at the end of the year.

I'll believe it when I see it. Nothing confirmed officially, so I'm not holding my breath. Even if she does go, the damage has been done. Star Wars is a greatly diminished franchise under her failed tenure. The mind boggles how she has been allowed to destroy not one, but three beloved...

Nice. Pretty damn good for a 'quickie' sketch.

Artistic SWFUKers Thread as requested by Michael Sith :)

I've always loved the Eddie Paul/Ralph McQuarrie 'Empire Day' promo posters for the UK ESB premiere. As a real one is way out of my price range, I thought I'd have a go at recreating one for myself. Created using Photoshop/Affinity Designer and giclée printed onto German Etching paper (30"x 40").

    Skeleton Crew - December

Sadly, it seems Skeleton Crew has been 'Solo'd'. Whereby, a decent, 'not terrible' creation has suffered from following on from a truly dire one. Unfortunately, the accumulation of dire DisneySW content has taken its toll. Being 'not terrible' Star Wars isn't going to cut the mustard now...

    Skeleton Crew - December

That was good fun. Went in with extremely low expectations, but found it surprisingly enjoyable. The kids and effects are great. Also fantastic to see aliens and droids back in favour. Is it Star Wars? You can argue its a generic kids sci-fi adventure with a Star Wars skin, but it would be...

Here we go again - New films announced

Rise of Palpatine production costs were recently revealed as $588m. Include marketing and the total could be as high as $800m. As ROS made just over a billion, you're looking at a possible $600m loss. Truly staggering. No wonder we've not seen a theatrical release in five years, if they were...

Here we go again - New films announced

That should have been the tagline on the poster. Totally agree regarding Disney SW. I'm done. They've killed it and seem incapable of admitting the fact. Nothing will change. I've gone back to reading the old EU books. That should keep me going for the next decade or so.

Here we go again - New films announced

I know we've been here before, but from what I've read Kinberg is a genuine SW nerd, so there may be a glimmer of hope for this. But, as @lejackal states, if its just a continuation of the Rey Palpatine mess then count me out. Also, a bit strange we've not heard anything regarding KKs renewal...

Here we go again - New films announced

Getting boring now isn't it. There's a Disney earnings call coming up, so make of that what you will. Probably another prick-tease to excite the investors and then quietly shelved. The fact that an announcement of a new SW Trilogy leaves me totally apathetic, is depressing.

    RIP Darth Vader

Another one gone. RIP JEJ. Sad news, but what a life. Forever Vader. Pretty sure that only leaves Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford & Anthony Daniels from the original SW main cast remaining.

SW Films Return to the Cinema!

Real Star Wars. Can't wait. Only downside is that it's gonna be the bloody Special Editions. Vue are also showing the Lord of the Rings Extended Versions.

    The Acolyte is Dead

What a great article. Thanks. Those production budgets are simply staggering. No wonder Disney pulled the plug on theatrical releases. The out of control budgets hamstrung the productions from the get-go. Makes me angry these beloved franchises have been mis-managed on an industrial scale. The...

    The Acolyte is Dead

Yeah, ScreenRant. That last bastion of unbiased journalism. I think not. Now being reported that all Acolyte merch has been removed from the Disney Store. Shows how much faith they had in it. Won't be surprised if the series gets Willowed now. How did we get here? What a mess.

    The Acolyte is Dead

Wasn't that x2.9 profit exposed as the usual Disney smoke and mirrors? As of April this year, Forbes reported that, regarding Lucasfilm, Disney were still in the red. Could be wrong, but wasn't the ROI based on the box office revenue (including projected revenue) of the movies, merchandise etc...

    The Acolyte 4th June, 2024

Exactly. I've been saying this since The Last Jedi. They pull the racist/misogyny card when it suits them. A convenient excuse to deflect from their terrible storytelling and virtue signalling bullshit. A very cynical modus operandi, that thankfully is starting to be called out by fans and...

    The Acolyte 4th June, 2024

I can't comment on The Acolyte, as I haven't watched it (and have no intention to), but due to the almost universal derision it's garnering, do you think this could be a turning point for DisneySW? Out of the last six live-action DSW series, only Andor has come out with any credit (and...

Your first time in a Galaxy Far Far Away

STAR WARS Bristol Odeon - February 1978 - Aged 9 Can't remember much about the screening, apart from being totally gobsmacked after. Hard to describe to people how much a phenomenon SW was at the time. It permeated everything in my small world and culture as a whole. Still got the SW film...
