Episode 9...your personal feelings *No Spoilers*

I've definitely lost a lot of enthusiasm for the franchise since TLJ was excreted on to us. The OT will always hold a special place in my heart, but I have next to zero interest in how the ST pans out. It seems to be a clusterfuck all around. No planning of the trilogy is amateurish at best...

    Rate TLJ out of ten

Snaketibe, you've expressed my feelings towards TLJ, to a tee. 15 months down the line and my abhorrence for this so called SW movie and its round-headed ****-knuckle of a director, has not diminished. I sincerely believe the mis-handling of the ST, will in the future, be a case study on how...

Episode 9...your personal feelings *No Spoilers*

I'll see it, if the word of mouth is good. Can't say I'm that enthused though, after the travesty of TLJ. Never thought I'd say that about a new SW movie. Fascinated to see how well this will do at the box office. Agree that it's a 'do or die' situation. **** this up and it's not looking...

    CASSIAN ANDOR LIVE-ACTION SERIES ANNOUNCED

Well that came out of nowhere  Rogue One is my favourite release of the Disney era, so cautiously optimistic about this. Hopefully K2SO will make an appearance.

    BBC Arena Cinema from 1978

Definitely a shot in the dark, but is there a copy of Michael Rodd's Screen Test from January '78 in existence? AFAIK this is one of my earliest memories of seeing SW footage.

    Rocket Firing Boba Fett

Wow indeed. That is stunning. Apparently, the broker is open to payment plans. Think I can scrape up a £1 a week.

    BBC Arena Cinema from 1978

That was great, Declan. Thanks for uploading. Great BTS footage and some vintage goodness. MH, GK & JB still seemed enthusiastic, even though at his point, they must have been sick to death talking about the film. Shame the presenter was a pompous killjoy. Dear oh dear.

    new hope dashed

I'm sure there's a joke here, about missing out on something big and hairy......but I'm buggered if I can think of it. By the way, welcome to the forum :D

    Hardback Novelisations

Judging by the ones currently on Ebay, I wouldn't pin your hopes on getting anything above a fiver. Best of luck if you decide to sell.

Any thoughts on who this figure is?

It's a bit reminiscent of a Shogun figure. The cheapo design looks like something you'd get out of a Kinder Surprise or a cereal free gift.

Who else remembers taking a bath with these two guys?

Can't remember having the Cliro soaps, but definitely remember having the R2D2 bubblebath. Hopefully one will pop up on Ebay. Haven't seen one for a long time.

    Restoring Stormtroopers

There have been various solutions put forward over the last few years, e.g. hydrogen peroxide, ozone + UV light etc. Whilst these solutions work well in the short term, in most cases, the yellowing tends to return after time. There is also the possibility of having a detrimental effect on the...

    Restoration advice

Dunk it in brake fluid. The cheapo Halfords Dot 4 stuff is fine. Great at removing enamel paint etc. Tried it on a Farmboy Luke that had been 'customised' and removed the paint without affecting the original paint ops underneath. Worth a go.

    Earliest Vintage SW Memories

Love these nostalgia threads. One of my earliest memories is going to the local mini-market and seeing the Waddingtons SW puzzles on the shelf. That and collecting the Topps cards (I can still smell that sickly bubblegum). Buying Star Wars Weekly comic was also a big early memory. I can still...
