Thanks guys. I really can't stress how helpful they are. If you problems/concerns/questions just contact them.

Yes I would second that. I went to Vectis today got chatting and was shown round. The OP's description of how much stuff is there right - pallets and pallets packed tight. Talked a fair bit to the Action Man guy as he was present - showed me the judo suite - recknoning on 10k maybes for it  He was a friendly and very informative guy. Palitoy rep stuff I saw was an incredible collection of items to see.

Yes overall they were very friendly and eager to be of help. Mostly passionate collectors working there - interesting job!!

couple of pics - nice!

10k for a judo suite ! **** me

You know on an Action Man forum somewhere they are saying "£5k for a star Wars Chewbacca - **** me!" ;)

On the Judo suit - is this the only one know or just super rare? I'd really like to get a few action men - certainly not at that level though!

Not really all that well up on action man Max but was aware that the Judo suite is like their grail item and are so rare their have been arguments as to if they even exist. I think this palitoy rep has produced 2 of them (don't quote me) - he must have been a happy man when he discovered their value as apparently he did not realise till they went to vectis.

There is some very nice action man misb (vehicles, figures and uniforms) there if u want to pick some up - british blue pants soldier ones are nice although the heads will need re-stringing. Some nice earlier explorers with the beards are also cool - some space men also. They have even got a Liverpool football kit - wehey :D The little footballs go at £20 each which was surprising - saying that look at the price of lfb sabres and leia weapons.

Wait a minute this is a Star Wars Forum! - I'd best shut up

Wrighty I did not see a land of jawas but not to say they don't have one. I did see a gorgeous dstar playset - sealed I think and a Cantina set open but 'new' - baggies all intact.

I'm on an action man forum and that's exactly what they say

I know people have probably asked this before but is the process of buying online and having stuff mailed to you easy enough? ! heard there was a wait for mailing but am not too concerned about that.

We are going to have another interview with Kathy from Vectis soon enough on the podcast and this is one of the concerns I spoke with them when I visited yesterday. (I was on my way back from the USA)

Theres basically a queue system, so if you win and pay for the items asap then the shipping queue starts. Theres 1000s of items every month and there is a team of people ( I saw I think 7 women 1 bloke) in a room full of packing boxes etc. The longer you wait to pay, the longer that item falls behind the paid ones. Which is only sensible. So best to pay asap and then accept that it wont be with you the next day. I think theres a turn around time of so many days.

Heres some pics.

the first one is a box that ugraders would kill for. The cards are absolutely destroyed. All palitoy, but the figures in bubbles are still in mint condition. For some reason Lando MOCs have attached himself to the back of many cards. Theres also a removed jawa hood, that appeared to have been unstitched and sewn for the rep to show to people. Very odd.. that is a box that could have been worth 10s of 1000s.. he was going to throw it away, but Vectis said "sell it" the figures are mint.

The welsh shop find.. 125 pallets.. crazy. I would love to delve in.

Thanks for this great info!! I ended up buying the Han Hoth, Luke Bespin, Leia Bespin, and Jawa 12 Back Palitoys in the last auction. I'm in Los Angeles so I have to wait 3 weeks for them to ship I guess. it's nervewracking!

Can't remember what the Jawa went for but the rest of those MOC's went for pretty decent prices I thought. Well done :)

Hope they get to you in great condition :D

I said earlier in one of the Vectis threads that I thought prices would fall for some of the Palitoy stuff, particularly the less rare stuff.

Since reading some Facebook posts and seeing the amount of American interest in these now that I can't see this happening much at all. Good news for the seller I guess :)

Wow, that pic of the boxes and boxes in that room is amazing. Reminiscent of the Indy moment when they pack the Ark away in that massive warehouse. I'd love to get in there and roll around in it scantily clad. Great piece and info, thanks.

How much are people paying for post on average. Say if I bought one of these boxed lots from Beeches what do you guys think post in the UK would come to?

There are some lots I like the look of - none of it Star Wars. Just wondering whether to have a bid.

Don't really get how it works. Is it like eBay or do you just stick a maximum bid on each lot you like and wait?
