has anyone bought from here before??
iam going to cut a long story short...just dont..dont buy from this idiot.. ive bought from him 4 times and each time its taken 2 to 3 months for delivery ,, it would have been quicker to walk to the U.S and get them myself.. ive never been told so many excuses in all my life

and if he asks you to go to his site and buy from there rather than use his store ..dont cause you will wait even longer as there is no evidence of what youve bought as he deals with all sales through emails ..
and before anyone says it "why the **** did you go back to him" its cause at the time he was the only person selling acurate bubbles on ebay.. he's a lump of ****in knob cheese at best

the only reason i gave him good feedback is cause he said that he had posted the first batch that i bought ( but it was lost in the post) so he send another lot out the following week .. however i had been waiting over a month for the other set to come .... i know think he forgot because of the other times i bought off him .... his service never changed..i left the feed back to ensure i got the second batch i bought from him :|

Reviving an old thread that was referenced on my FB group yesterday.

Yoda's Hovel is non other than Tom Good, the Box King.

See Tom in denial, and then fleeing the scene here:-

I remember seeing videos that guy posted up of his house/collection and being totally freaked out, it's even weirder now I know that he's "the box king" all over the FB groups and denying he's the man behind Yoda's Hovel :/

Some weird ****ers out there, get that scumbag banned!

edit, found it: http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5568&p=81718

Video is gone sadly but **** it was weird!! He had a radio playing some 80's hair metal downstairs and he was moving about upstairs, showing off cabinets of toys and not saying a word, you could just hear him breathe heavily :|

Sorry to keep posting but Tom's been posting some pretty interesting pictures all over the FB groups and he's even sold a few things too..so it begs the question, if he's well known for his reproductions and customs are we sure he hasn't scammed anyone with very well produced fakes?

I remember him showing off a framed bandolier box flat in one group then it ended up being limelighted by someone else not long after, I assumed Tom sold it to him..but was it real? I mean, the frame came with it so unless someone takes it out of there they might not be able to check it's legit.

Worrying reading here too: http://www.scam.com/showthread.php?p=784175

I'd make sure you and the other FB group admins keep tabs on this guy, I honestly had no idea it was him.

Great expose guys, well done.

And Joe you are right. The 'box king' seems like a right weirdo, gives me the creeps.

Yodas hovel...well there's a name from the past!

Back in the mid 2000's when I started collecting Star Wars again, I'd put together a loose first 12 run and started looking into moc's. At the time there was no way I was going to pay 250GBP for a 12 back Stormtrooper, let alone 300 for a 12 back Luke and 355 for an AFA 80 large head Han 12 back :)lol:), so I looked around to see what other options there were. Yodas hovel seemed like a good idea at the time as I was never going to own an original carded figure and at least his repros had figures with all original weapons. So I placed my order on Boxing day for several of his 12 back creations and waited for their arrival. Sure enough they did all turn up in a timely manner, packed with their reproduction weapons and capes  , and although the card backs were really good they just didn't feel quite right to me so I ended up getting an original set of 12 backs. In a funny way Yodas hovel set me off on the right path.

Anyway, a year or so later I contacted him again through his site to get some of his card back images before they were stuck onto the card for a project I was doing at the time. Again these arrived pretty quickly and he also threw in some repro bubbles as a freebie. Pleased with this lot I then ordered another lot but these never arrived even though the payment went from my account. I kept sending him emails but never heard anything until one day, out of the blue he contacted me to apologize for not sending on my items and gave a story about how he'd been in hospital. It was all very strange as he never did send anything on to me and I never heard from him again.

I did mention this to TFB a while back and Todd thought that he might have died so I just thought that maybe there was some truth to his hospital story. It sounds from the above that he's still around although as I'm not on face shame I've no idea what 'The Box King' is referring to. I do still have all the repros as a reminder of where it all started for me and apart from Poon these really are the best repros on the market ( not that that means anything).

Oddball character for sure and I'd love to hear some more about The Box King thing.

That's how he refers to himself on Facebook Ian. "The Box King" (even though he's registered under his real name, he signs off as the box king..)

I guess it's to do with his display room that recreates what a 1970's/1980's toy store would have been like (figures on the pegs, shipping cases laying around with price tag guns next to them etc)

I've no idea how much of that is real of course, I'm sure he'd say it all was but..you gotta wonder haven't you?

Thanks for that Joe, that's quite an impressive sight although as you mentioned who knows how much is real as everything looks to be maybe a little too box fresh.

One of the repros I had from him was a transitional 32 back 12 back ( think you know what I mean), which even had a repro price sticker on it. It's a large head Han and comes with his repro blaster taped to the inside of the bubble and also has the bonus of touched up hands and neck!

I used to order bubbles from him for customs. He made 100% accurate bubbles and made every possible version as they corresponded to their SW, ESB, JEDI,POTF and Tri-logo card. These were identical to the originals. No cross-hatch..but ****ing scary at the time. Yes I thought he died....Now repro king formerly known as the box king.

Oh...and this thread made me think Han Duo had returned.
