So glad they all arrived in one piece Ed, the haul looks as good as we hoped it would be!
If it's ok to say a few words (mostly praise
)..I want to say a huge thanks to everyone that put in and helped on this because you all made it so easy for Ryan and myself, I must say I have organised donations before (albeit on other boards) and I ended up chasing people for money for weeks after they said they wanted in on it but this time (and with Ryan very graciously being the driving force behind PMing everyone in his spare time despite having a family to look out for,business to run and trying to battle flu) it was completely hassle free from start to finish with everyone chipping in asap to get you something Ed!
As for those gifts, I think the Vintage gods were smiling on us lol! We had incredibly good luck with the 12 back Luke and the Jawa coming up within days of each other. The Luke was in such good condition and the 79a Jawa being so hard to track down it was just meant to be and we couldn't say no! (Not to mention they were high on your wants list) oh and the Jawa surprisingly didn't turn up from Australia, it came from the states! (Kay Bee sticker Ed- tut tut
)
Jason West, Todd and Grant (Maulster) chipping in with some vintage goodies and Ryan doing a fantastic caricature was the icing on the cake which rounded out the surprise!
Oh and it wouldn't have even made it to you without Shawn being kind enough to get it all sent to him for him to forward on!
Thanks guys and Ed you deserve it mate, hope it made your day and we all hope it brings you back to collecting/the boards. You can stick them on the shelf and get a kick out of looking at them and thinking about how you came to own them now which is what it's all about!
