Anyone having a look at the auction tomorrow - I've got one bit in (on some Attack of the Clones basic figures) - but am not raising my offer so I expect to get outbid tomorrow at some point. A few other nice bits in there - but maybe not as much as usual.

The Battle Armour Skeletor and Panthor pack caught my eye, that's a very tempting item. AFA U80, no Star Wars for me this time. Fingers crossed for you @monkey_roo ! Saying that I'm still looking, about half way through looking.

Yes I have too, (mainly Modern) but like you will expect to be out bid.
We will see…

Don't forget Oberon auctions on Wednesday.

All the vintage seems to have low estimates and low or no bids - a sign of the market conditions, or is Nicks auction just not well subscribed to?

As I'm sure you are aware the vintage market is very flat/slow/people selling up/falling/crisis selling….choose your own out of that lot, but quality items will always sell.

Lots of comments on FB selling posts saying "need to sell due to bills etc." it's a very different market from 3-5 years ago, lots of "Celebrity Sellers" gone quiet…it's not a job I'd want to be doing nowadays!

Oberon is not as well subscribed to as say Vectis, but it's building support now, or so it seems to me.
It's the place to find a bargain rather than Vectis (if there is such a thing) but that opportunity is slowly slipping away.

Never seen Oberon before - had a look and on the working assumption I won't win today - will certainly check it out tomorrow - certainly seems more conservative on the valuations and bids than Vectis.

Outbid already 😀
Currently 140 + fees for 44 AOTC figures - not upping my bid so will be interested to see what they go for in the end.

OK - trying my luck with one of the Oberon lots - at least their fees and VAT aren't double dipped (as far as I can tell) - Vectis add 22.5% + 20% VAT - so 42.5% onto of auction price, so they are cheeper overall maybe - still bet I get outbid though :)

That's not quite true.

Vectis fees are 22.5% plus VAT which equates to 27%

Oberon fees are 22.5% plus VAT for using their own live bidding website which equals the same as Vectis.

*(I've assumed you would not use "The Saleroom" (more expensive) or bid in person (cheaper but only at Oberon)

It's easy to get carried away with a cheap item price and then be stung with the fees, it also hurts your bottom line to sell, once the fees have been removed. (But a whole lot less hassle).

I see Vectis have put the fees up by 2.5%, how long ago did they do that? Anyone see what the Skeletor and Panthor pack sold for?

Might have won??? - forgot it was on and missed the live action but my pre-bid is the same value as the winning bid - so wait and see....

Excellent, well done.
There were a lot of cheap vintage MOC's, not in mint condition but nevertheless good prices.
All my lots (modern VC) went well above what I wanted to pay…perhaps I was over optimistic!

I did indeed win - so thats a first - although sneaky - their invoice is without shipping - so that will be a separate thing - but hey. With fees/VAT it worked out at £5per figure, which is fine for AOTC I think, certainly wouldn't pay more per figure than that.

But overall I would say the 'Modern' stuff is commanding higher prices and moving as well, if not better than Vintage stuff when I look at these auctions. The SAGE Gold edged figures lot went for £300..... TC-14 went for £50.... some of those Vintage figures went for bargain prices :) by comparison

Not worth a new thread but a bit of Star Wars coming up on the 11th at Vectis. Nothing major but a few nice little bits - I'm currently in on 4 lots, again I doubt I'll win anything - we will see, but it means staying off Evilbay for a few weeks just in case. Going for 3 modern lots and 1 vintage - but fancy a pop at the 2002 imperial shuttle as well - but that will go high I suspect.

Waiting for the invoices - but I won 1 out of the 5.
Odd pricing again - some things going for way more than expect and some less - guess thats the way it goes some days

My Vectis lot arrived today (Quite a while after the auction) - but all good.

I see the next SW auction is on the 21st October- I've got two bids in, both modern (SAGA and EP1) - nothing on the Vintage side for me (at a price I'd pay...), although a few nice bits.

OK - here we go again - I'm current bidding on 2 (modern pieces - I say modern but they're 20+ years old now :) ) - I suspect I won't win either, mostly because they are already at my max and far too many folks watching for more bids not to come in.... but I'll watch the days action with interest.... Good luck if anyone else is going after stuff.

I'm the high bidder on the Luke Bespin Kenner 31B, but that's me done so if anyone wants it bid away! I'm probably already over paying slightly…….

Umm - missed my lots but got a feeling I won both..... I think you wait until the day is done and their backend sorts out the invoicing...... I was in on some EP1 accessory packs and the 3 Jedi Council Saga sets

I missed out on the Luke Bespin went for £800, with the fees that's £980. Over pay IMO, but I guess depends on how much someone wants it.

You can, but they don't give you the result - but both still say I have the highest bid - so I assume I won them and then the invoices will sort out tomorrow - kinda thought I'd lose both - kinda hoped I'd lose one - overall a bit more than I planned to spend.... oh well.
