Trying to gauge value of certain pieces in a collection

Well, I recently found a bunch of old Star Wars toys in my parents' basement (I know, many threads here probably start this way...) and am trying to gauge the "real" value of what seem to be some of the higher-demand/less common pieces. Still need to take photos of all, but assume above-average-to-really-good condition for the time being:

Carded (cards in at least decent condition; all still sealed unless noted):

  • Imperial Gunner (POTF)
  • Imperial Dignitary (POTF and Tri Logo)
  • Romba (POTF)
  • Warok (POTF)
  • A-Wing Pilot (POTF, interesting paint error on eyebrow)

Loose, in very good to excellent condition/complete - unless noted (also have a bunch of "average" figures):

  • Imperial Gunner (wrong color gun)
  • A-Wing Pilot (wrong color gun)
  • Yak Face
  • Amanaman (w/coin & card back)
  • Romba
  • Warok
  • Lando Gen. Pilot (ok condition; no cape, gun)
  • Boba Fett w/"Star Wars" card back
  • Anakin Skywalker
  • Tuskan Raider
  • Luke Bespin (brown hair)
  • Imperial Dignitary
  • Yoda orange snake w/ESB card back

Play Sets (open box, unassembled, unless noted)

  • Death Star (tall plastic, not cardboard)
  • Creature Cantina
  • Tie Interceptor (not boxed, assembled but good general condition)

Die Cast

  • Y-Wing (incl bomb and cardboard backdrop)
  • Tie Bomber

There's a bunch more, but nothing particularly interesting as far as I can tell. Any opinions appreciated, especially regarding the A-Wing Pilot that's MOC with paint defect and Tie Bomber (which rarely seems to come up).

This is predominantly a UK site and prices do vary a fair bit between the US and UK, so I would suggest looking at eBay US sold prices and FB US groups.
And you are correct condition is everything, but the market is in a very different place to where it was 18 months ago.
Good luck with them.

Thank you very much; it really didn't occur to me that, in the era of online sales/auctions, there would be so much regional variation in pricing. I've looked some at eBay sold pricing, but some things are difficult to find a real history of, while others have such a wide range. Will do some additional digging, though! Thanks again.

I run www.starwarstracker.com which has over 10 years worth of historical pricing across the world and various markets in addition to eBay. So it might help you find some reference pricing for things that are difficult to currently find on eBays rolling 90 day history window. It is a paid subscription service, but there is a 14 day free trial period to test it out first.

So I took a look and what a great tool! I doubt I'll need it past the two weeks but feel like I should let the first month bill just to be supportive.

There are a couple pieces that, understandably, I couldn't quite value. First is the carded A-Wing Pilot with the goofy eyebrow. No idea of it adds $1 or $1,000… the other is the Boba Fett with card back (ANH 21). Errors and card backs seem too niche to be picked up on any online tool.

Any thoughts on these? Attaching a couple images.

I would think that the eye brow will add nothing to its value, as for the card back, Tracker doesn't list these so have a look a the groups on FB, they do change hands regularly there and some groups will happily give you a valuation too.

Glad you are finding it useful! Personally, I don't think the A-Wing pilot with that eyebrow details warrants anything extra, and should not detract any value either. And you are right - Star Wars Tracker does not provide a price guide for opened MOC cardbacks. As mentioned, you can probably do a focused search for this on eBay or FB groups.

Without having seen pictures it's rough to say. Everything depends on the condition. Are the cards unpunched, are they flat, how is the colour, are the blisters clear, do they have dents etc. Heres the range of what I'd pay for the carded ones if condition is somehow good:

• Imperial Gunner (POTF) 400 - 600 US$
• Imperial Dignitary (POTF) 200 - 250 US$
• Imperial Dignitary (Trilogo) 200 - 250 US$
• Romba (POTF) 250 - 350 US$
• Warok (POTF) 300 - 400 US$
• A-Wing Pilot (POTF) 400 - 500 US$
