Here's my one, with the instructions courtesy of Lars. Many thanks again for selling me some :)

This is a great little toy, with a neat firing mechanism, and is exactly the kind of low cost accessory / small toy that really helped those of us on a budget back when these toys first came out. It wasn't all about the AT-AT's and Millennium Falcons of the line (terrific though those were). More humble toys like the Tri-Pod Laser Cannon not only gave kids a cool toy of something they'd seen on screen, it did so at a more affordable price point. Well done Kenner!

I'm not sure how many different boxes there are for this toy, as I only collect 1st Issue boxes. However, I hope lots of other forum members can share pictures of theirs, and hopefully we will see lots of different ones there.

Since we last did toy of the week years ago, I have sold 3 of my Tri-Pod Laser Cannon boxes, but I have also bought one box more for my collection.

1. my ESB Kenner box, it is a real beater box but I am keeping it for my dnaish focus, because there are a danish price sticker on the right of the box.

2. My much better Kenner ESB box, I am keeping it until I can upgrade it with a better esb kenner box with a danish price sticker on it. I am not sure where the price sticker on this box are from, but I am thinking maybe germany :unsure:

3. My Kenner ROTJ box. The hose and power unit are still in a sealed baggie.

4. Another ROTJ kenner box, this are my new one since we last did toy of the week. It is a beater box, but it has a danish price sticker on it that I had never seen before. Seller had a few diffrent boxes with that sticker type, but I was to late with the other boxes so they were sold. So I only got this box with that sticker.

5. My Bi-logo box.

6. and last another Bi-logo box that are more complete than the other box and it has a danish price sticker on it for my danish focus. The hose and power unit are still in a sealed baggie.

I really like the tri pod laser cannon, it's about the only mini rig I have much love for bar the VME which also got screen time, the others were never in the films & I just never really gelled with any of them, I actually have a modest mini focus for the TPLC & also have plans in place to make a little custom special offer version & include a hoth trooper baggie, I already have the sticker made for it & really thought kenner missed a big opportunity never making a special offer version back in the day.

thanks for the kind words (y) With your palitoy focus, are you not missing the bi-logo box in your collection since it is a euro box ? or do you only go after the palitoy logo ? :)

Here we go...I Never owned one as a kid but i have a misb and a loose version of this and possibly a spare instruction sheet. I would eventually like to get the esb box version but thats a 'one day' purchase.

That MISB looks awesome, is it graded or is it a box to protect the box ? the ESB box you are looking for, do you also want that one as a MISB or just an open box ?

The cannon outside the box looks nice and mint (y)

Is it a trailer you are making in the background for the laser cannon, so the stormies can drive it around ? :ROFLMAO:

Haha its even better than a trailer...its the back to the future delorean so the stormies can go way back! I'm up to issue 26 so still some way to go until its completed. I have the frame and engine just about done.

Yea, I will definitely be looking for the ESB version of this either mib or misb. I feel like i've gone a bit mini rig crazy atm, i cant stop buying them. I do love this range, as mentioned earlier they were a good price point and really easy to play with as a child. I remember my INT-4 got loads of use.

The misb is just in a GW case not graded, its pretty nice tbf, a little edge wear and love the 'humpty dumpty' price stickers! I wonder where that toy shop was

I learned something new today, I have 2 diffrent Power hose :oops: The plastic are much harder on one of them and it is more grey/black, all the others I have are more soft in the plastic and they are black. I have taken a picture of it.

Soft on top and hard in the bottom of the picture. What do you guys think or do you know anything about it ? :unsure:

oh so it does not need to be a misb. I know, I had the same problem years ago when star wars was cheaper, I could also not stop buying. The importen thing is just to have fun and it makes you happy.

Have you tried to google the shop name on the stickers, I do that when I get some boxes sold in denmark where I do not know the shop. Sometimes I get some info about the shop, even if it has been closed for 40 years.

The same here, frank I ran out of space a long time ago. I have room to have less than 5% on display. But I'm changing the display occasionally.
