I found Jordan to be really nice and accommodating but to fair I was talking to him at about 9:30 on the saturday morning and they weren't film yet. Chatted to him for about 10 mins and got a picture with him...nice guy but he did look really busy every other time I saw him

Stand offish is maybe unfair - he was good enough to pose for a photo and he was probably knackered after two days of smiling, selling and glad-handing

I was happy enough to sign the consent forms for tv - just wish I had that missing gantry part ;)

Attended yesterday, apart from 'Star Zone Toys' and Jim Stevenson the vintage SW was v poor just more or less average stuff one would find in the average home that has kept the now grown up kids old toys.

So credit to Darren and Jim for having some real nice pieces, to Darren for having a couple of Palitoy 30 backs for sale which in itself is a rarity to see at a fair today and for having some real nice condition SW boxed pieces 8)
And to Jim for his inventory of shop stock condition pieces including a Palitoy unused X-Wing, a true toughie to find today

Nice one chaps 8) 8)

Had a great day @ the NEC, we only went for the day out but I actually picked up more items than I expected including a lovely Kenner boxed Jawa from Jim at a very good price!

I also picked up a nice 1977 Ben Kenobi Tankard, a Palitoy boxed Tie Fighter, a nice Palitoy Escape From The Death Star and a few other bits & pieces!

The lifesize IG-88 on display was epic too... I really wanted to buy that!!

That was built from scratch (nearly 100% recycled materials!) by a good mate of mine named 'G'.

He's an insane talent when it comes to modelling and scratch building stuff - he built a fully articulated, full size Battle Droid which is amazing - even if it is from the prequels.

Wow! I thought it was perfect, does he ever sell them or is he building his own army? I'd be really interested in commissioning one.

He does do commissions, not sure on something the size of his IG, but worth asking...

He filmed a series 3 special there - visited the vintage store in Readig too

August show is normally a bit quiet - I thought they'd stopped them? Could be bargains to be had :)

Edit - just noticed Grinchy posted in February
