So I bought this box of pencil toppers the other week for €220 posted from Germany. I thought I got a bargain but then I get a letter from Parcelforce saying I owe them a total of £73 for customs and VAT. It also says in the letter that Parcelforce no longer go into disputes on these charges which is a complete joke.

Firstly, did I overpay for these and secondly is there anything at all I can do about these extortionate charges? Obviously Parcelforce don't want to know but is there anything else I can do?

Thanks

Lee

I always thought any refund claim would be after you pay Parcelforce and be via HMRC direct?

This may help, but to be honest if that's what they have asked for then normally it would be correct.
Saying that the stuff is vintage can often help.
