POTF Last 17.........CUP

Hi guys,

I have here a ROTJ: POTF Last 17 cup.

It has pictures of the last17 figures on it and some ROTJ ships.

Was it for a 1985 cinema release for ROTJ or a POTF Sweepstakes?

I read that it was for a movie sweepstakes at the cinema . Read it on some site that had some of them for sale . Don't know if ROTJ still where showing in 85 .......

Any way nice cup with the Kenner stuff on it

ROTJ did indeed get a rerelease in '85. All the SW movies had several rerelease up to that point as home video was just taking off. I'm sure Kenner had hoped that it would have helped bring some new kids into the toy line too. I believe it wasn't until '86 that ROTJ was finally released on videocassette. I remember my dad taking me to see ROTJ and I want to say it was most likely to this rerelease as I would have been roughly 5 in '83 and 7 in '85, so it'd make more sense that I'd have memories of it being a little older.
