Polish Bootleg Figures

OK, time for another of my newbie questions.

I've seen these "Polish bootleg" figures cropping up on Fleabay every now and then. What are they? Are they just customs?

Anyone on here collect them?

(OK that was 3 newbie questions, but hey it's Friday)

I think Craig's yer man, he has a few of them (he may be selling them actually). He can probably tell you a lot more than me.

All I know is they are Polish knock offs that are invarably multi-coloured and look NOTHING like SW figures!

I collected them for a while and built up a big collection but getting hold of the earlier 1st generation figures is difficult without good contacts.

I sold all of mine as I needed to reduce my collection to raise some funds for home improvements and I wasn't getting rid of my variants !!

Here's the best guide:

If, you're looking for any, I've got these for sale, although the Zuckuss has been sold:

Thanks for all the feedback, guys.

Wasn't too sure if they were genuine variants or not. There's a few which look pretty good (like the silver snowtrooper, as Gustie said). Others I'm not too sure about ;) Guess it's just a matter of personal taste.

Some of them would certainly make a normal collection look a bit more interesting I reckon.

How much do these figures tend to go for?

they can vary from £20 to over £100 depending on their rarity.

The 2nd and 3rd gen ones are generally the cheapest.

These two Han Hoths cost about £20 each

I love the Polish range, especially the first Generation and deluxe articulated figures. The colours are wacky and the figures look different to normal ones. They are very collectible to some people who love to find a new colour.
