I'm a big collector of vintage Star Wars cards, wrappers, boxes and premiums - since the late 70s. Just sharing a few images having just gone back to the collection this weekend after a long break and receiving a bit of interest. I must sort out my wants list and fill some holes that I have had for many years!
Here are the USA Topps boxes and order forms from the stores. I was lucky enough to get a USA series one box from a just opened shipping case in the early 90s - it's in perfect condition. I liked to get a full unopened box of them to go with the cards, individual packs and wrappers.
Some other images are full boxes from Mexico, France, Canada and Australia. Have separately posted the UK collection this evening as well (might be on general board rather than this thread).
There's also the 1978 Sugar Free gum box still sealed, a factory unused box and a 5x7 Empire Strikes Back TEST wrapper - the test cards had drawings on the back (have included an image of those too). I have a full box of these test cards - very boring burgundy card box with no images or text.
Also an image of a the large box of rack packs - this is how Topps got rid of their old stock. This is for series 2 of Empire Strikes Back. For series 1 they had rack packs that simply had 3 packs in. I went to the States to see family when I was about 11, and saw these for the first time in New York - I went nuts for them as we didn't get anything like it back in England ... they also had tons of different bubblegum cards from all sorts of things we didn't have back home- TV shows and movies etc (and the gum tasted different - like rootbeer!), I came back with loads of different coloured Star Wars (from the UK), Empire series 2 and 3 and Superman 2. Best holiday I've ever had
