Nice, thanks. I guess you were not a kid in the 80s ? Also great to see younger guys that was not living in the 80s collecting vintage star wars (y)
No problem. No a 90's kid got hooked when the Special Edition came out and the Tazos became the craze at school. Got a leaflet from Toys R Us from a friend saw the figures and knew Luke Jedi must be my first figure.

Though I still have most of my childhood collection, most of it is mixed up with new stuff I bought as a collector so wouldn't know for sure that something was mine as a kid - which most likely would have been what I picked.

So I'd probably go for my 12 back Luke - I believe Luke was the first figure I had as a child, was the character I most wanted to be and I love the image on the card.

I'd take my first 12 mail away display stand and sneak a few choice variants I have on there like the vinyl cape Jawa, hollow tubes Tusken, dark brown haired Luke Skywalker. 13 for the price if 1. Bit of cheating really but if the house was burning down I wouldn't have time to stop and pick them off one by one

Here's my X-Wing and Luke. If I took my Snowspeeder, I'd take Boba as well...

I take my farmer luke childhood figure with me. He came from a tri-logo cardback. I always thought that the bespin saber was the only saber for farmer luke when I was a kid. None of my friends had him and I thought it was an error on the back of the cardbacks where he had a different saber. It was first in 2001 many years later from the good old 80s that I learned my saber for my childhood farmer luke was not the correct one for the figure and that there also was a telescoping saber for farmer luke figures. So this figure is very special for me and I think it was one of my first 10 figures, we played a lot together and he also came with me in the bathtub, sometimes I played with my figures in 1 hour in the bathtub or just until water got to cold 😂

The saber looks pretty good used like that, it works really well 😁

Pick one thing, what would that be,
A conundrum that is, now let me see,
LFB with telescoping light saber is that the one,
Or your first figure where it began,
First 12 with mail away stand, now there is a shout,
But what would I take with me, what is it all about?
I would take with me the passion for what SW means to me,
As for me it's not about one certain thing you see,
Its the collecting bug, the camaraderie, with like minded friends,
the collecting bug, an oasis in a frantic life that never ends,
so for me it's the ethos of the whole thing,
to take with me that's what I would bring,
The SW universe is a gift, for one and all,
So that what I'd take with me, that's my call!

I think for me it would be my original Star Wars double LP which I managed to get Dave Prowse to sign on the Darth Vader artwork on the back.

Sorry, but no photo just now.

I would choose my Palitoy 65 back Bib Fortuna moc. Not an expensive moc I know but I loved Bib Fortuna as a kid. My Mum went shopping one day without me back in 1983 and bought me Squid Head. I asked her if they had Bib Fortuna there and she said "oh yes they did". I actually cried (I was aged 5). She said "oh dear I won't buy you anything next time then". Weeks later she went shopping without me again and she brought me back a Bib Fortuna. I was chuffed. It's a good memory. 😊

I don't have any of my childhood figures anymore. But the first figure I ever got was Luke Skywalker: X-Wing Pilot. So, I'd choose him - or Boba Fett. Never had Boba Fett as a child, but he's my favourite Kenner STAR WARS action figure.

In a perfect galaxy, I'd take both.

That's a real tricky one. There's a whole bunch of things that mean so much to me and my childhood that I am so lucky to still own and not just Star Wars. My original childhood Falcon is probably my most prized childhood possession that I still have, however in the synopsis presented.... end of the world apocalypse it's probably more practical to have something I can stick in my pocket and as a Vader focus collector I am very lucky to have my childhood Vader so I will pick him 🖤🖤🖤
