I had another look at the 12bk jawa , seems i missed what looks to be bubble crush or dent to the top above the jawa head? also the logo seems not to be straight ? this could just be factory print error

Yeh I'd say around £400-500 for the 20 back DSD in that condition but I'm afraid a Palitoy 20 back Jawa does not exist :!:

These both sold yesterday for I think £850 as I said in another thread at http://www.the-saleroom.com/

The other four are due up for sale on the 25th http://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/auction-catalogues/hartleys/catalogue-id-srhar10016/lot-e10787cf-2566-4ae6-8f6e-a47400ccc51b

Mate, FYI it's really bad etiquette to out auctions, be thoughtful to others who have taken the time to look for these things

Luckily I'm no longer interested in those 4 figures because as shown on the rebelscum link they have all been ripped off the cards

I didn't read the etiquette thread but seeing how someone already posted this auction (sort of) days ago http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=25049 I didn't think it would be to out of line!....

Oh and while we're on the subject of etiquette I did see this thread but did not click on the link to Rebelscum but I linked the two later when viewing the lots from the thread I just posted and was watching the auction yesterday and considered bidding and it would have been nice if you had updated this thread before said auction and the items you requested valuation on were now known to be resealed!...

I know there has been some mention on here about not outing ebay auctions but as far as I'm aware there's never been anything said about other auctions, that's why there are so many threads about the Vectis ones before they commence.

It sounds to me like this is an auction that you were interested in and although I know it sucks to have things made public knowledge I really don't think it's fair to have mentioned what you did above. Maybe this is something that could be discussed for the future but at the moment people seem to be happy to be made aware.

As a new member I hope you stick around and benefit from this great site. There's lots to be learned here about all things vintage and it would be good to hear your thoughts on some areas of this at some point.

It's kinda an unwritten rule, if I wanted people to know that these were coming up for auction, then i would have posted a direct link, the fact that i didn't speaks for itself. Of course people would love to be made aware that something rare is up for grabs, but why would the original poster want added competition for said item?

Like i said the guy outed the 1st lot 'after' they ended, which is fine, but he also outed the other 4, which are still available.

Luckily like i posted it's been shown that these other 4 have all been ripped open, so they are no longer of interest to me, but maybe are to other folks who have tried to keep them under the radar.

If you find a bargain or something of interest, that no one has already brought up which you don't want then feel free to mention links etc.

Vectis is like ebay now, so nothing is going to escape unnoticed on there IMHO.

Hope you understand where i'm coming from, but it's kinda been the way these things are dealt with, for the period 1995-2006 when I was a collector.

I do understand where you're coming from about outing things but as I mentioned I don't think there are any rules on this forum about not doing this other than maybe ebay auctions (can't remember if that's a rule?).

It does suck when you're trying to keep something quite and I'm sure back in the days of collecting this didn't happen so much but with the way things are today it's unlikely anything will slip through the net. Remember that this forum, like so many others, have certain rules to them. This one I found to be very open about most things which is why I personally like being a part of it but unless there are rules stating not to do certain things then people are free to do as they feel is right.

Just want to point out as well that I very rarely post anything about a live auction that hasn't happened as I tend to agree with you about this. I may do it every now and then though if someone is taking the piss on ebay or it's pretty obvious that everyone is aware of an auction and I feel I have something useful to comment on.

As I mentioned, maybe it is an area that should be discussed about in the future but for now it's an unfortunate reality that people are going to post things up regardless of if others are trying to keep them quite, it's just a reality of the times at the moment.

I was sure it was a rule that we did not out auctions, eBay or otherwise. Though that may just have been accepted practice, which is not the same as a rule.

Maybe something that should be an open discussion and then possibly a forum rule made? That way there's no uncertainty.

Incidentally, doesn't the listing for the 4 rare Palitoy say they are unopened? Clearly not the case if reading the RS thread
