I was lucky enough to pick-up two Spanish POCH figures off of eBay last week. A beautiful Apple green Yoda who definitely had a running with a soldering iron on his day of making! And an unusual Han Solo with a suspected short pour gammy right leg

I was at a show called "Toy Force" today in Ajax, Ontario, Canada. I'm working on a Canadian MOC Run, I've got about 50, give or take a couple of cardback variations. For whatever reason, this version of Klaatu on a Canadian card has been particularly elusive, at least over the last 4 years that I've been looking. I've seen it for sale once or twice but always for a much higher price than one can pay for a Klaatu and still like one's self.

The R2 game is Canadian, cereal insert sticker (1977) Canadian, US pack-in catalogue, and the earliest version of the sacred text.

Nice pickups all.

TheJabbaWookie the POCH figures look great, love the apple green Yoda.

I've no real knowledge on POCH figures, are they all kind of scarred with melt marks from some manufacturing process??

I'll do some reading up on them, any good links that anyone would like to share?

The89thchris, great haul, the artwork on the game's lovely, is it a rare item? Never seen one before.

Latest ship to arrive...

I'm pleased with it, not too easy to find on a euro bi/tri logo box.

Is this classed as a euro box, bi or tri logo? It has licensing details on the box for Palitoy, Clipper, Meccano and PBP.

Any info's always appreciated 😊

If you're not on Facebook try this - its a little out of date and sometimes messy but if you view it on desktop version this link has plenty of relevant stuff

If you're on FB head on over to Echo Base Vintage Variants and read up or ask around.

If you're like me and you can't beat a good book try and get hold of a copy of the Javier Ruilopez Made in Spain POCH book. It's beautifully designed and has loads of informative detail and pics.

I don't get on Facebook much really, I'll check the links out. The book sounds a really nice read, I'll search it up. Thank you

Another vehicle in amazing condition, just lovley. :D

Lovely bits folks. I'd have that Palitoy Snag & TIE pilot myself. Congrats on finding the Canadian Klaatu.

Big thanks to Cardbackkid for pointing me towards this, a new 'Palitoy card with trilogo bubble' for my focus.

Nice TIE :)

It's classed as Bi-Logo due to the twin non-English languages being together on one side of the packaging, with just English on the other. If all 3 languages are present together on the same side of the packaging (i.e. like Tri-Logo cardbacks), then the packaging is classed as Tri-logo.

Thanks.

Thanks for the comments and information guys, I really appreciate it.

The Tri/Bi logo classification seems slightly odd to me, I understand and of course are familiar with the step style tri logo cardbacks and boxes.

But here's my confusing part?? There's a number of vehicles released in Europe that are to my knowledge solely on bi logo boxes, ie 2x logos, x-wing fighter, at-st, Falcon, At-At. I may be wrong here, but that seems to be my findings. The 2 logos on the bi logo boxes are always English and French and the licensing details match up ie Palitoy and Meccano. That seems sensible and logical.

Now... there's also a number of vehicles that come in a, supposedly bi logo box that actually have three logos on them, English, French and Spanish, eg. Tie Interceptor, Rebel Transport, Battle Damaged Tie. The logos are exactly the same as the stepped Tri logos and the licensing details on all of these kind of boxes include Palitoy, Meccano with the addition of PBP, sensible and logical, the addition of the Spanish "El Retorno Del Jedi" logo includes the additional PBP licensing text that's seen on all of this kind of box. And the same licensing details as the stepped Tri logo boxes.

Now I really don't understand why this kind of box is classified as a bi logo?? It just doesn't make sense! Bi logo means 2 logos, Tri logo, obviously 3 logos. To call it a bi logo doesn't seem correct, it's a Tri logo not bi logo surely?

Not the usual stepped version but nonetheless the box has the exact same logos and licensing information on it as the stepped style Tri logo. Possibly a Tri logo "b style" or similar I don't know??

This has puzzled me for a while, sorry for the long meandering thinking out loud questions, I'd really like to hear your thoughts regarding these style bi/tri logo boxes!

Cheers in advance 😊👍

There are definitely fewer LAs these days but the quality is better than ever. Justin your boxed vehicles look brand new

I had a great mail call today thanks to another Justin. Meccano reseal landspeeder, Canada snowspeeder and 21 back landspeeder all three are tough to find so great to get them in one lot.

Going to have to reorder the display shelves to fit them in.

Whilst die cast isnt my thing, snowspeeders are my weakness though. Congratulations on everyone's recent finds and purchases, always nice to see new things. 8)
