Martins not posted in ages.
One of the nicest blokes out there. Anyone heard from him? Has he lost the bug?
His profile shows he's been in the forum recently but not posted.
It'll be a shame if we lose him.

Come on Martin, say hello!

Martin is a really nice fellow. I see a lot of photos of him on FB dressed in tweed touring France on a bicycle and twiddling his mustache. Star Wars must have taken a back seat for a while. I'm sure he will be back :)

I last spoke to Martin just before Christmas. He was on a family trip in France I think and didn't have great Internet so couldn't get on that often. Think he's just been really busy with loads of different trips and events going on.

I've been away for a few days myself. I got a PM from Martin earlier today, he's fine just massively distracted. He'll be back. SW is in his veins.
Good Man!

Hello, hello, HELLO!!!

Blimey. I had no idea that this thread existed until I got word from Jez, Mike and Barry. I'm completely bowled over, to say the least. I honestly hadn't realised it had been so long since I was last on the boards... days turn into weeks, then months... you know how it is

I mentioned to Jez last week that the work/leisure ratio has been tipping the wrong way of late... added to that, I'm going to see if I can manage my full time job as a fork lift driver (which I detest) to train as a demon Barber (which is what I really want to do) in my spare time. Sweeney Todd will have nothing on me.

Star Wars courses through my veins, and I will always count my SWFUK buddies as the best friends a chap could hope for. Thoroughly heartwarming to see this thread, to say the least.

Was that too soppy? I thought I restrained myself rather well.

And just for you lovely lot, here's a photo of me in my tweed plus-two's. Steady on now, Todd.

I'll be popping in to the Echo Base 2 event in Leeds on March 7th, if any of you local(ish) guys can make the journey then it would be great to see you. Failing that, I am determined to make at least one Farthest From this year :D

Thanks again, chaps. You're all... bloody marvellous.

Martin

Since last a post you had left,
The boards have been bereft,
Of gentlemanly comment of times gone by,
To teach us elegance ,he can but try.
Sartorial splendour, to this man, the norm,
A magnificent moustache he does adorn.
A welcome return has been made,
A rhyme was needed as a tribute paid.
Welcome good Sir back to the fold,
A forum member in high esteem we hold.

Welcome back Martin, great to see you posting,

Great pic as well 8)
