Hi, not sure what you are after but I am thinking of selling some vintage star wars items (figures/vehicles/comics) in the near future. Will be getting valuations from here first.
Am in Doncaster and will prefer people who can collect. Would much rather things go to a collector to appreciate it :)

So I've popped on here to ask a question of the general hive mind - I'm a lucky owner of a fair few original pieces and I've looked after them well, but I'm astounded at the quality of carded figures I see trading on social media - so much so that I have to question their authenticity. Most, if not all of my carded figures have the machine sealing bump/marks on the back of the card where they were industrially sealed, yet I am seeing people pay thousands for crisp clean cards without the bump and in some cases with less than perfect figures inside the bubbles! Am I the only one who sees this and thinks "WTF?" or is it just a case of "Why get involved?"/Caveat Emptor or am I just being paranoid and there are plenty of crisp carded figures out there and my knowledge is lacking (which it is frankly).
Interested in peoples opinions (I know the backstory of the factory/cards/bubbles which is why I wonder).

Most of the carded figures selling for big money are actually legit. Here, FB groups etc are very strict about authenticity. Yes there are plenty of 'perfect' Toy Toni figures around, but people nearly always know what they are buying- they're very desirable these days. Reseals are also very popular, mainly due to the crazy prices of MOCs. Unfortunately, even reseals can go for decent money these days.
