My Star Wars Childhood Collection

Hi All,

As I've recently returned back to the UK I've been trying to sort through a few things and came across a box which had all my childhood Star Wars memories in it. These are the only things from Star Wars that I kept hold of all these years and although there are no figures or play sets (although I do still have my childhood Cantina), I thought you might like to have a look over them.

Fot me the highlights were my Shreddies transfer sets and my home made scrap book that I put random things in over the years. It's completely falling to pieces as I just taped pages of paper together but it does still have both Darth Vader and Boba Fetts signature in it from when they came to visit my local toy shop and I'm not sure if Darth signed on my Death Star catalog or one of the ones that the toy shop put on the counter but it's a nice bonus. I've also included some newspaper articles I kept hold of (and a bonus TV guide page for you all to see what was on TV at the time), but I'm really glad I kept my homemade effort of the ESB pop-up book. I used to love looking through the original pop-up book at the toy shop but could never afford to buy it so I made this one from memory at the age of around 9 or 10.

Anyway, hope you enjoy some of these pictures the way I have.

That was a real trip down memory lane especially the lolly and sweet wrappers amazing how those more obscure items really jog the memory , love the Tom Baker and micronauts items

Ian, that is right up there! Absolutely love it 8) These are the kind of memories that money can't buy- so many fantastic bits and pieces to look through. Brilliant to have your childhood stuff- thankfully I've still got quite a few bits like you (drawings, cuttings etc). Love the Shreddies and have been trying to find that ROTJ Palitoy competition leaflet for ages myself. Awesome!

Your scrapbook is priceless. Thanks for sharing, I love it! It's exactly what i did as a kid; collect every clipping and wrapper associated. I wish i still had all mine.

What a great thread Ian! There is nothing better than one's childhood collection. That scrap book is absolutely incredible! The artwork, the clippings, and most of all the memories!
