Great photos Kayor :D I got my Y-wing for Xmas 84, I remember being so blown away at how movie accurate it was! What a ship.

I also had one of those Robbie the Robot type toys as well! Mine was a black and gold one.

Love this thread, all the pics scream late 70s/early 80s, the TVs, the carpets, the wallpaper and furnishings are so of their time. I just wish I had some pictures to add though.

I've got some to share:

I think this was taken in 82/83 before I saw Jedi at our house in Tilbury.

My Dad brought me this t-shirt when we went and saw Jedi at the Dominion In London during 83. I remember this guy there in the lobby selling lots of different t-shirts and my Dad told me to pick one so I went for the black. It cost £7.99 from what I remember. Hell of a great day. My Dad swears I never wanted to take it off!

Took this away on holiday to Cornwall. We never quite to got to see it light up right in the picture.

In that last photo it looks like you had one of the Force Beam sabres. They were basically 'unoffical' lightsabres and not licensed by Lucasfilm. My brother and I had one each (white and green) and we used to knock lumps out each other. If I remember rightly, if you clashed sabres too hard the top popped off and flew across the room!

There's one on Ebay just now:-

Great to see one again!

I found another one over Xmas, this is my little brother Fred with our Snow Speeder. Might be my knee at the top :) The photo was taken when we lived in Lincolnshire so that dates it 1986.

This was where my childhood collection was at by early 1984 before the allure of the ZX Spectrum moved me away from Star Wars toys. That and a pathological hated for the Ewoks.
I added a few more figures during early 1984 to the lot you see here - Prune Face, The Emperor and at Christmas time 84 my folks got me a JEDI Luke X Wing pilot. Last ever figure for a good 25 years was in the Summer of 85 when I sent off for good old Anakin.
Sadly there's no pics of me actually playing with my Star Wars figures but from 1981 to 1984 nothing else mattered...

just posted this on wrong fig in ship thread, but relevant to here as well, thought I had lost this photo, its the only one I have from my sw childhood, amazing what you can do at 12 with an old out of focus polaroid camera, every bit of polystyrene and pot noodle tray you can nick from the local shops, those were the days  I was surprised the polaroid pic was not less faded

That looks great! Shame it is so out of focus, I wonder of anybody could sharpen it up a bit?

I managed to improve it a bit with Photoshop, if you can give me a proper scan it could potentially be even better :)
