I remember using the BA from the galoob A-Team van. I figured he would always help out so I would let him join in. He piloted the Falcon once or twice during battles. He then would return the favour and let the good guys battle against the darkside using his van. I also remember building little forts with lego and using them for bases during battles.
The more I think of it there were some great vehicles and sets I had over the years.

I did something similar to my childhood snow speeder. I was just staring to get into Warhammer 40k and me and my mate had a bit of cloth with some scenery but I really wanted a crashed spaceship.

Well hope you are all ready for this, boba out on a shopping trip with the wife :) don't think I ever quite finished this creation , had to raid the other x wings to get enough guns to make it look half presentable

Don't recall ever putting the wrong figure into ships, but did make some errors. Pretty sure I had Dengar on the good side and Luke X wing definitely had a imperial blaster and not a smuggler blaster.

I do wonder if the latter error is due to Tri logo miscarded weapon purchase. I was pretty on the ball when it came to knowing what belonged to who, so this has bemused me for years.

The first figures and ships I had were Chewbacca, Sandpeople and the X-Wing (for my birthday). So to fly the X-Wing Chewie was appointed, but I discovered that you can't actually shut the canopy because he's too tall. But for the few months until Christmas, he was my only choice. Drafty!

I loved Dengar as a kid, I remember he was a war wounded goodie for me too, rather than a bounty hunter!

I used to use Hoth Rebel Soldier as Han Solo until I realised it wasn't Han Solo when I was small.

Things you remember!

Some great stories. That hybrid vehicle WTF

that's what I though and I built it, "there is another", but maybe that should be in the next thread "get your vintage horror hybrids out for Christmas" , sure there is a few on here with a vintage secret horror custom that should be shown and appreciated  seen some really good ones over the years on here, but maybe we can coax some out into the public domain. :?: :)

Luke FB always flew the X-Wing... oddly I had an X-wing pilot but was convinced it wasn't Luke due to the black hair.. which in later life I realised was the visor!

The visor?! Finally, at the age of 38, it's makes sense to me! I went through a phase of thinking it wasn't Luke followed by a much longer phase (just this second ended) of wandering how they could get the hair colour so wrong.

Just checked some google images and it's so obviously a visor! Or full on curtains

One of my most treasured Star Wars toys childhood memories is from the Summer of 1983 when on a sunny and warm day myself and other neighbourhood kids pooled all our beloved SW toys together for a massive action display or "set up" as we used to refer to them. Cameras were borrowed from parents and pictures were taken but sadly the enclosed are the only two I have in my possession 33 and a half years on. I didn't have a Luke X wing pilot figure so the Hoth version had to pilot my recently purchased X-wing which a certain bounty hunter is keen to steal judging by the pic.
