Very interesting read on the 8D8 there. This is why this forum is the best Star Wars place. You guys find interesting little facts about odd things that most wouldn't notice or care about. On Facebook it's a continuous stream of Fetts and VCJs. There's a hell of a lot more to VSW than that folks.

Yoghurt pots are interesting, looks like another ewok item to look for

My latest this time is nothing special, just a few clear bubble Rombas

Those yoghurt pots!!! Bloody hell, that's a real blast of 1980s! I remember getting them cos those and whatever was the best free gift in cereal that week were the only decent part of being dragged to the supermarket!

Really great to see them again :D

Same here. Just a very distant memory, but sure I can remember eating yoghurt from these pots :)

Love your dedication to the tri logos and their variations Joe! :D

Managed to pick this up for the CCP focus - that I never actually thought I would get, and definitely not as soon after making a start on the focus.

So here's the poch/pbp Twin Pod and booklety thing.

I don't often post my pick ups in here, but with all the talk of over-priced figures in other threads I wanted to post this up to prove that bargains are still out there. I picked this up "in the wild" for £34 at the weekend. Very pleased as I've been looking for one for a while, as you probably know I collect trilogos but this is one of the few characters you can't get on a trilogo card, so this Palitoy 65 back is the next best thing.

Don't give up guys, if I can pick up a Palitoy first 12 MOC for a fraction over 30 quid, there is hope :)

Joe, that 8D8 bubble/punch hybrid is very cool indeed. How in god's name do you map these details in your mind?!

Nick, holy cow, man, that is a seriously cool Poch Cloud Car! What an amazing find and great addition to a cool CCP focus.

Edd, love the DSC. Not seen many of those on any Jedi card let alone a Palitoy. Wonderful find and great lookin MOC.

Again, look at the incredible variety in two short pages of this thead!

Lads ..... I leave this forum for a couple of days and check back in and it's all gone super vintage crazy!! Loving the Romba party, DSC moc is super sweet and as for that CLoud car boxed.... Pukka! I'll try find something that's half as good as this lot I'll post it up but might have to wait :)
Anyway for now I'll post up my first LXW moc, although a few issues !
As I've said many times b4 (6 times to be exact ) "it's not perfect but I love it !" And at £20 I love it even more !
Happy hunting boys & girls

Shaky, are you serious? £20?? Oh man that's one hell of a find, nice one :) There has to be a story behind that for 20 quid!

I can't compete with a Poch Cloud Car, a forest moon full of Ewoks or 1990 priced MOCs, but I'm still chuffed with my new arrival. My very first 12" figure turned up today. Within about 4.6 second of opening the box I had a new favourite. I didn't think these things (12" Palitoy figures) were affordable and the last time I was collecting they absolutely weren't but I think when you can buy this for less than a half decent Han Carb MOC the market has lost it's way. He is 100% complete and the figures is nice and clean. Sure, the box isn't mint and the plastic window is coming away from the box, but I couldn't care less; it's awesome.

The excitement from everyone when something foreign like that POCH Chewie and Cloud Car appears on here shows this hobby isn't just about nostalgia, as I'm pretty sure 99% of the people on here would not have had any of these foreign items as kids.

Well it's a very familiar image/item but with different logos etc, I think that's why most collectors find foreign stuff interesting.

I think as well as nostalgia we like t look out for something not many other people have too. Wouldn't it be the most awesome feeling to own an item you know is the only one to exist?
