Hi peeps, please help with valuation of this rancor monster. looking on ebay for comparisons is getting me nowhere (as there is a boxed item with one arm broken off going for £70 which personally i think is ridiculous!). now, back to my rancor. the box is in decent shape which is helped by it still having the original insert. slight creasing and edge wear especially around lids where they have been opened but all the flaps are still intact. the rancor itself looks good, has paint wear to teeth, couple small chips or marks on chest area and shoulder joints have gone powdery (is that from joint wear?)but still reasonably tight. hands and legs are also tight and jaw operates nicely from lever on its back. what you reckon guys, is this rancor minter or munter lol? any input is appreciated. cheers, Lee

I would say £30 loose, £30 for the box and £20 for the insert to put it at about £80, maybe up to a ton?

Think that's about right but pretty sure someone else will chime in.

Hi again, another valuation request if you would be so kind. got a ROTJ ewok assault catapult which looks to be in good condition apart from the strap has broke to wind down the catapult arm. the box is in good condition with hardly any wear, even around lid (i must have opened this one carefully as a kid lol). cheers in advance, Lee

wow thanks lejackal, its suprises me how the box and insert are worth more than the rancor. i suppose that is down to having a decent box makes it more desirable? anyways, thanks for you input. it's very much appreciated :D

Hi mate I'm very interested in the Rancor, so I won't get involved in the valuation, there is a decent one on eBay for £66 quid and a valuation of £80-£100 to me is over the odds, however I do hope you get the best value for these.

Thanks.

There's one on ebay now for £66 plus postage but the box doesn't look as nice. £80 for yours seems fair, up to a ton would be if 2 people really went for it at auction but then you'd have fees to come off that. Some crazy stuff happening recently. Saw a loose £10-15 Wampa get bid up to over £40 in the last week or so.

Just to clarify I was typing as you posted, not trying to debate the quality of the one on ebay.

Nuttynut, I've never dealt with TwistedMetal but his feedback is tip top and he has more experience in the hobby than I do so probably has a better handle on prices.

Outer rim !
Rancor , £60 to £75 . I have not seen one go for £100 , however prices do continue to fluctuate . However need to allow for 10% to eBay and 3% to Paypal .

So my advice would be sell it in here and everyone happy

Thanks :D

thanks for the advice steve obi wan, thats definitely my intention especially with some of my nicer items. hopefully i'll get chance to get more items on the valuations thread sometime soon and then see what sort of offers i get. it seems a bit a rat race right now with buying/ selling and rather be more selective of where i sell, as finding a good home for these is more important to me than trying to sell for these exaggerated prices on ebay at the minute. cheers, Lee
